Hugh Jackman’s Shocking Festival Exit
Hugh Jackman has pulled out of BST Hyde Park festival in London, he announced on Monday.
The performer, who is 56 years old, expressed both remorse and dismay when he declared that he wouldn’t be taking the stage on July 6th.
I’m truly sorry to have to share this news, but unfortunately, an unexpected clash in my plans has left me heartbroken to inform you that I won’t be able to grace the stage at Hyde Park on July 6th as planned.
‘This was a stage I was truly looking forward to being on. No less in a city that I love so much.

After Hugh posted a video on Instagram showing him doing a complex jumping rope performance, it followed.
In his post, he shared that after several long months of training with Beth Lewis, he had reached a point where he was almost ready to perform the jump rope choreography on stage.
‘Her tolerance is reminiscent of a saint’s!!! Despite my errors, I had an amazing time. Looking forward to doing it another 21 times! Thanks to @bethlewisfit! From New York with love @radiocitymusichall.’
This version maintains the original sentiment and tone while using slightly different phrasing for a more natural and easy-to-read style.
Hugh, who is 56 years old, mentioned the inaugural night of his “From New York, With Love” concert held at Radio City Music Hall located in New York City.
In the video, Hugh’s footwork and the height he got while skipping rope was impressive.
He wore a sweat soaked tank top and shorts as he exerted himself to prove a point.
The jump roping routine was a surprise during the opening night of his show on Friday, January 24.
On Saturday, he shared his exuberant reaction to his first performance on Instagram.
It was a truly amazing evening. Our performance kicked off at the Radiocity Music Hall, as Jackman shared in his caption.
Experiencing a whirlwind of emotions, we were immersed in an outpouring of affection, interruptions, perspiration, tears, joy, and more. The sheer magnitude of emotion in the crowd seemed infinite; we could all sense it.
Additionally, it’s fantastic news that we have 23 more opportunities to continue the celebration. I want to express my gratitude to the entire cast and crew for their relentless dedication and exceptional skills. – Jackman
The new production is the Wolverine star’s first concert in five years.
At the performance, he sings tracks from his theatrical and cinematic characters such as Les Misérables, The Greatest Showman, The Boy From Oz, and The Music Man.
On Hugh Jackman’s opening night, Ryan Reynolds (who played both Deadpool and Wolverine), the movie’s director Shawn Levy, and his partner Sutton Foster were all in attendance.
As stated on the Radio City Music Hall website’s summary, Hugh’s solo performance is a journey through his career, featuring tunes from his most memorable characters.
Following my announcement earlier this month about my romantic involvement with my previous co-star, Sutton Foster, here’s an update on our journey together.
49-year-old Sutton disclosed an intriguing behind-the-scenes detail that they had exchanged during their run in the successful remake of The Music Man.
In a re-aired interview on Live With Kelly and Ryan from 2022, Sutton revealed that she and the Australian actor engaged in a private pre-show conversation they nicknamed the ‘chat on the carpet’.
She explained: ‘We hang out in my dressing room before every show and just catch up.
‘Somehow we ended up sitting, maybe because my dressing room’s a mess, but we sit on the carpet.’
She mentioned that this intimate experience was truly special, as it deepened their bond and significantly contributed to them becoming excellent companions.
Sutton commented, “One of the best aspects has been making this fantastic new friend.
From December 2021 through January 2023, the dazzling duo graced the stage of The Music Man on Broadway.
In due course, whispers spread suggesting that the duo were romantically involved. Curious fans began to ponder the reasons for Hugh’s unexpected separation from his long-term partner, Deborra-Lee Furness.
At a In-N-Out burger joint in San Fernando, Los Angeles, the pair was spotted passionately kissing near their vehicle.
In September 2023, after parting ways with his wife Deborra-lee after 27 years, Hugh found comfort in Sutton as he leaned towards her touch on his face.
Following Hugh Jackman’s attendance at a show of Sutton Foster’s play “Once Upon A Mattress” in LA, they were spotted having a romantic dinner in Santa Monica, where they were seen intertwining fingers.
Sutton filed for an uncontested divorce from her husband Ted Griffin in October of last year.
She had been married to the 53-year-old Ocean’s 11 screenwriter for 10 years.
