Hugh Jackman Roasts Ryan Reynolds On Stage

56-year-old Australian entertainer, who specializes in music and dance, made a brief detour during his performance at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall to share a story about how the events on the set of their hit superhero movie Deadpool & Wolverine left 48-year-old Ryan feeling quite agitated.

According to a video obtained by DailyMail.com, Hugh expresses his enthusiasm for making the movie, stating it was an experience he “really enjoyed” and was “the best time ever,” but mentions one minor complaint: he wasn’t included in the musical sequence of the Marvel film.

In the footage, the star of The Greatest Showman playfully suggested to the audience during his musical performance titled “From New York, With Love,” “Keep this a secret from Ryan.

Hugh, now in a fresh bond with his ex-Music Man co-star Sutton Foster, mentioned that he and Ryan appeared together in all scenes of the movie – with the exception of the opening, where Deadpool needed to locate Wolverine.

The X-Men actor explained that it was acceptable for him not to be present in every movie scene. However, he pointed out that Ryan, who is a writer, had penned the script. Upon reading it, he noticed that the scene he was absent from was the opening sequence – a dance number set to an NSYNC song by Ryan.

Lucky for his fans, Hugh said he was going to try to ‘rectify’ the issue.

Next, he introduced Beth Lewis, a former dancer from his past, to aid him in executing the elusive dance.

Afterward, Hugh attempted to outdo Ryan by dancing to the popular NSYNC hit “Bye Bye Bye,” released in 2000.

The fresh dance routine spotlighted his agility and physical prowess, as it required him to continuously jump rope throughout the performance.

In a synchronized manner, he leaped, flipping his arms over and moving the rope from one side to another, then dramatically alighted onto the rope as a climactic gesture to conclude the dance.

He was joined by several of his backup dancers who performed the choreography in unison.

Prior to its commencement, he playfully hinted that his trainer Beth might allow him a day off from training on Mondays, as he had worked up quite a sweat during the event.

In the past few months, the music enthusiast has taken pleasure in displaying his love for singing and dancing as he hosts his latest stage production.

Starting from January, he initiated a 12-performance stretch at Radio City Music Hall. However, his timetable allows room for various commitments in Hollywood and beyond, since he’s only appearing during certain weekends until the last shows on August 15 and 16.

Despite using the occasion to tease friend Ryan by demonstrating his dancing abilities, his Deadpool & Wolverine-style performance aligned perfectly with the rest of the event. This is because he often performs his well-known musical numbers and dance routines from previous productions such as Les Misérables, The Music Man, The Greatest Showman, and The Boy From Oz.
