Although Marvel Studios just announced ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ for 2024, Hugh Jackman surprisingly predicted this huge team-up of heroes back in 2013. As the release of the next Avengers movie gets closer, a video of Jackman has reappeared, showing him casually forecasting the collaboration of Marvel’s biggest characters on the big screen.

As the release of Avengers: Doomsday approaches, a past interview with Hugh Jackman is gaining popularity online. In the interview, he discusses a massive collaboration featuring all of Marvel’s biggest heroes.

In a 2013 interview while promoting The Wolverine, Jackman said he was hopeful that Marvel could eventually find a way to unite characters from The Avengers, X-Men, and Spider-Man universes, despite the studio already having many major projects underway. He acknowledged Marvel’s success with the Avengers and felt it was likely they’d figure out how to bring all those heroes together at some point.

It looks like the actor who famously played an X-Men character was onto something – the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie will bring together all these legendary heroes.

The next Avengers movie will feature the return of many familiar faces from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans. Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Tom Hiddleston, and others who’ve played these roles for years will be back, alongside newer stars like Wyatt Russell, Simu Liu, and Florence Pugh. Many other popular MCU actors, including Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Mabel Cadena, and David Harbour, will also be appearing in the film.

Several actors from the X-Men films, including Kelsey Grammer, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, and James Marsden, are returning for the new movie. The Fantastic Four – played by Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn – will also be part of it. Channing Tatum will reprise his role as Gambit from Deadpool & Wolverine in the film. It’s still unknown whether Hugh Jackman will return as Wolverine for the sequel.

Avengers: Doomsday is currently on track to hit theaters on December 18, 2026.
