Hugh Jackman Ditches Hollywood for New Theatre Venture and Wedding Plans!

Hollywood superstar Hugh Jackman is set make a big career move.

On Wednesday, Hugh Jackman, who is 56 years old and well-known for playing Wolverine, shared on his social media that he’s establishing a new theater company.

The premium endeavor, known as “Together,” plans to perform plays and various theatrical productions in intimate settings across both the United States and the United Kingdom.

Hugh is collaborating with the esteemed, award-winning West End producer Sonia Friedman on an exciting, high-stakes venture.

Known for his talent in music and dance, he mentioned in a recent Instagram post that Together will be presenting shows and performances not just in the United Kingdom and the United States, but also beyond those regions.

He added a tile bearing the Together label, along with a message within the post, which outlined his aspirations for the theater enterprise.

Hugh said the  new company would be ‘dedicated to live theatre that is intimate and accessible.’

In every instance, the productions from Together will be fueled by a dedication to delivering audiences an innovative and captivating theater experience.

In the same post where Deadpool’s actor made an announcement, he additionally wrote an extended commentary revealing that Ian Rickson, who was once at the helm of the prestigious Royal Court Theatre, will join their project called Together.

In a shared announcement, Hugh and Friedman expressed that together with director Ian Rickson, they aimed to establish a creative space. This space would allow actors, playwrights, and directors the freedom to innovate, delve deeper, and take chances – all while avoiding the stresses typically linked to the commercial theater industry.

The duo subtly suggested that their upcoming venture was a departure from the mainstream, box-office driven productions that have been popular in the entertainment scenes of New York and London.

In essence, we aren’t planning on abandoning Broadway or the West End; instead, our goal is to collaborate and thrive harmoniously alongside them.

Although Hugh is globally recognized as a film superhero from the Wolverine series, he’s cherished by theater enthusiasts for several decades due to his work in musical theater, hailing from Sydney.

He gained renown with his leading performances in the musicals such as “The Boy from Oz,” which was based on Peter Allen’s life, “The Music Man,” and “Oklahoma.

After hearing the news, it appears Hugh might marry his girlfriend, Sutton Foster, following the completion of his divorce from Deborra-Lee Furness.

In January, the lead actor of The Greatest Showman revealed he was going public with his longtime Broadway colleague, a development happening nearly two years following his announcement of divorce from his wife who had been married for 27 years.

A source close to Hugh has now revealed his plans to marry Sutton.

During his trip to Australia over the holidays, Hugh engaged in many rounds of back-and-forth communication, however, eventually, he came to appreciate just how much he yearned for her, according to a source who spoke with Sky News.

The long-lost magic resurfaced between them upon reunion, leading towards a future where marriage seems inevitable for these two souls.

‘Hugh is clear he wants to make Sutton his wife.’

In a stunning declaration made public in September 2023, Hugh and Deborra-Lee revealed the conclusion of their marriage. They informed their supporters that due to personal changes, they felt it necessary to part ways to focus on their own personal development separately.

Hugh and Deborra-Lee crossed paths for the first time in 1995 on the Australian television series Correlli. At that time, she was already a prominent figure in the industry, while he was still new to acting, having just graduated from drama school.

Four months after their initial encounter, he expressed his intention to propose, sharing with Today in 2018 that he felt certain, just two weeks into knowing Deborra-Lee, that they would spend the remainder of their lives together.

In the year 1996, during the month of April, they exchanged wedding vows in Melbourne, Australia. Four years after that, in the year 2000, they welcomed Oscar, currently 24 years old, into their family through adoption. Five years later, completing their family unit, they adopted Ava, who is now 19 years old.
