Huge TV newsreader looks unrecognisable during rare interview nine years after quitting Channel Seven and moving to a farm

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for personal transformation and resilience, I find Chris Bath’s journey to be truly inspiring. From her days as a prominent TV newsreader on Channel Seven to her recent interview on the Three Food Memories Podcast, it’s clear that she has not only evolved professionally but also embraced a new, more casual look.

A major TV newsreader looked unrecognisable as she resurfaced for a rare interview this week.

The famous Australian journalist appeared on the Three Food Memories Podcast to discuss her career after quitting Channel Seven in 2015 and moving to a farm.

Talking to the host, Savva Savas, she appeared noticeably changed compared to her past, as she reminisced about the now-viral incident where she was caught cursing live on air in Greek.

The 57-year-old’s voice was well-recognised but she rocked a different look for her interview.

She displayed her freshly-trimmed feathered hairdo and donned a red plaid shirt while discussing her professional life.

Additionally, the newsreader disclosed her experiences following her initial foray into journalism via radio back in 1988.

But can you guess who it is?

That’s right, it’s Chris Bath!

At the job interview, Chris shared an incident where she was caught on-camera cursing in Greek during live broadcast, along with how her superior responded once the video went public.

On Sunday evening, I found myself on the set of a grave news and current events program. There, both the floor manager and audio supervisor instructed me in a few Greek terms, she initiated.

‘Because we weren’t on air and it was in the studio, I didn’t know it was being recorded.’

After several weeks had passed, I was summoned to the news director’s office. He played a video for me and inquired about the words I was speaking in it.

Chris quit Channel Seven in 2015 after 20 years with the network.

She then joined ABC Radio in November 2016 and hosted the evening show until the end of 2019.

Following his resignation, Chris relocated to a farm with her spouse Jim Wilson, who is likewise a renowned sports journalist from Australia.

The couple got married in January 2012 after three years of dating.

Chris has a son from her former spouse, Denis Carnahan, whom she divorced in 2008 following a decade of married life together.

At one point, Jim had two boys with his former spouse Jackie. Unfortunately, their younger son succumbed to brain cancer at the tender age of five.
