Story: The narrative commences by introducing us to Valeria (Solian), who yearns for a fresh chapter in her existence, specifically as a mother. She has faced difficulties conceiving with her partner Raul (Dosal). However, fortune favors them, and Valeria becomes pregnant. With this new life on the horizon, they embark on preparing their home for its arrival.

In my humble opinion as a movie critic, the narrative takes an unsettling turn for the protagonist, Valeria. The once familiar surroundings of her town now seem eerie and unnerving, and she’s plagued by the sight of an enigmatic figure lurking about. Moreover, she experiences bizarre metamorphoses that challenge the normality of her life. Could these be mere manifestations of her internal struggles as she navigates through physical transformations, or is there a more ominous force at play in her life?

Verdict on Huesera

In a chilling blend of suspense and terror, Huesera revolves around a woman in the early stages of motherhood. For years, she’s cherished this moment, and now it’s finally here. Yet, during her pregnancy, she encounters bizarre occurrences that make her doubt her sanity and the choice to bring her newborn into the world.

This film delves into the unsettling realm where beliefs intertwine with the uncertain journey of motherhood. It skillfully constructs a harrowing narrative, filled with tense moments and disquieting scenes. Consequently, it creates an intensely disturbing horror experience that culminates in a startling revelation you won’t soon forget. The movie benefits greatly from Natalia Solian’s captivating performance, one of the strongest in recent memory.
