HRVY splits from ex-Emmerdale actress girlfriend Mimi Slinger as he reveals he is ‘now single’

HRVY announced on social media Tuesday that he and his former girlfriend, Mimi Slinger—who starred in Emmerdale—have broken up.

The 26-year-old singer, who was first rumored to be dating the 22-year-old actress in late 2021, has confirmed that he is currently single.

In a TikTok video, HRVY explained why they and their partner broke up, speaking directly to the camera with a thoughtful expression.

Making light of the situation, he captioned the post: ‘I’m now single… I blame that Vogue article.’ 

HRVY spoke up after a recent article in the magazine asked the question, “Is Having A Boyfriend Embarrassing Now?”

Current fashion trends suggest that openly displaying a romantic partner online is considered embarrassing or uncool, leading some women to remove photos or mentions of their significant others from social media.

The article suggested that dating men is increasingly viewed negatively, and women in relationships often express dissatisfaction with men. This is partly due to a sense of solidarity with other women, but also because it’s become socially unacceptable to publicly appear happy in a traditional boyfriend-girlfriend relationship.

The article delves into the various motivations behind women concealing their romantic relationships, something the author personally relates to – she confessed to hiding updates from friends’ social media when they start dating someone.

One person we spoke with said she’s relieved her 12-year relationship ended, as she hadn’t wanted to make it public and now doesn’t have a permanent online record of it.

HRVY and Mimi reportedly hit it off after meeting at the National Television Awards in 2021.

Reports the following month suggested he had already met Mimi’s friends and family.

I was really surprised to hear about this, especially since just a few months ago, HRVY and Maisie Smith – who he met and started dating on Strictly Come Dancing – had broken up. It seemed like they were doing so well!

According to a source, HRVY and Mimi are very much in love and their relationship is getting serious.

‘They both know each other’s families and their friends have met.’

Sources say HRVY and Mimi have a strong connection and seem like a great match, leading people to believe they could become a serious couple soon – and likely announce their relationship on Instagram.

The couple officially confirmed they were dating in February 2022. HRVY posted a sweet selfie with Mimi on Instagram from their luxurious vacation, and also shared a photo celebrating her 19th birthday.

People believe Mimi and HRVY first met through Romeo Beckham. Romeo’s girlfriend, Mia Regan, works with the same modeling agency as Mimi – Storm Models.

She became well-known for her role as Leanna Cavanagh on the TV show Emmerdale. She played the character for three years before her character was killed off by another character, Meena Jutla.

Since her time on Emmerdale the rising star has modelled and is also an aspiring musician.
