HoYoverse has officially announced its new game, Petit Planet. They shared a logo and a brief teaser trailer, giving fans their first glimpse of the project. This confirmation is a major milestone for the game, which has been eagerly anticipated for a while.

The first look at the game was a short, under-20-second trailer. It featured a cute, round creature exploring a green, mushroom-filled world, followed by the game’s logo, Petit Planet. Because that was all the trailer showed, most of our current understanding is based on guesses until the developers reveal more information.

This announcement builds on talks that started back in June 2023. Back then, rumors indicated that HoYoverse was working on a relaxed, life-simulation game, much like the popular Nintendo game Animal Crossing.

In March 2025, reports indicated the developer has a promising schedule of upcoming games. One of these games is a life simulation where players interact with animal characters, and it will heavily feature content created by players themselves.

Originally, the project was potentially called Astaweave Haven, as suggested by trademark filings last year. However, it was later decided to brand it as Petit Planet, a name consistently used across various social media accounts. This marks HoYoverse’s entry into the farming and pet simulation genre.
