As a die-hard Star Wars fan who’s witnessed the rise and fall of empires, the birth and demise of Jedi, and the endless debates over the true identity of our favorite characters, the upcoming animated miniseries, LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy, has piqued my interest. The plot twist of an ordinary guy messing up time and space in the galaxy sounds like something straight out of a fan fiction I’d read late at night!
1. Is Jar Jar Binks secretly a Sith Lord? Are those AT-AT walkers battling for the Rebellion? Is Luke Skywalker not a hero, but instead relaxing on a beach somewhere? What’s going on in the galaxy?!
In a fresh, hypothetical animated miniseries based on prior LEGO Star Wars specials, “LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy” is now arriving on Disney+. This series explores a scenario where an ordinary individual named Sig Greebling inadvertently alters time and space within the Star Wars universe, generating an alternate reality. Alongside Jedi Bob, can Sig harness the potent Cornerstone brick to transform into the hero he was destined to be, restoring order to the galaxy once more?
In the animated series titled LEGO Star Wars: Reassemble the Galaxy, we find Gaten Matarazzo voicing Sig Greebling, Tony Revolori as Dev Greebling, Bobby Moynihan portraying Jedi Bob, Marsai Martin as Yesi Scala, Michael Cusack as Servo, Ahmed Best reprising his role as Darth Jar Jar, Kelly Marie Tran as Darth Rose Tico, and Mark Hamill lending his voice to Beach Luke Skywalker. Alongside these main characters, Tony Revolori, Marsai Martin, Michael Cusack, Naomi Ackie, Anthony Daniels, Billy Dee Williams, Dee Bradley Baker, TC Carson, Trevor Devall, Jake Green, Jennifer Hale, Phil Lamarr, Ross Marquand, Piotr Michael, Kevin Michael Richardson, Helen Sadler, Matt Sloan, Matthew Wood, Sam Witwer, and Shelby Young join the guest cast.
