Excited to play as the Sheriff of Piltover? Here’s how you can unlock Caitlyn, the newest fighter in 2XKO for Season 1. There’s even a special event happening for a limited time where you can get her completely free!

Unlocking Caitlyn in 2XKO for free

You can unlock Caitlyn without spending anything in 2XKO. One way is through a special event where you receive her simply by playing.

I’m so excited! Caitlyn’s recruitment event is kicking off right when Season 1 launches and will run for three weeks. If you participate, you can unlock Caitlyn herself as a playable Champion, a really cool Crimson Chroma skin for her, and this awesome taunt called ‘In My Sights’!

Complete your Daily, Weekly, and Featured missions to fill this progress bar and unlock the champion quickly. You’ll also earn Credits as you play, which can be used to buy other champions.

When you create a new account, you’ll receive a Champion Token. This token lets you unlock Caitlyn and a few of her starting items at no cost, but using it will consume the token. If Caitlyn’s recruitment event is still running, it might be better to save the token – you can use it to unlock other champions like Vi or Jinx instead.

Once the event to recruit Cailtyn is over, you’ll be able to buy her Fighter bundle for 10,000 Credits.

How to unlock Caitlyn using premium currency

You can also unlock Caitlyn in 2XKO using KO Points, the game’s premium currency. This bundle, which includes the fighter, a special skin (chroma), and a unique taunt, costs 1,000 KO Points. This is equivalent to $9.99 USD, €9.99 EUR, or £8.50 GBP.

Starter Edition bundles also come with Champion Tokens, beginning with the standard package. However, these bundles don’t include any Caitlyn-themed cosmetic items.

You can snag Chromacrash Caitlyn as you progress through the rewards, and if you really grind it out and hit the Ultra track, you can get the Arcane Caitlyn skin too.
