How to see Masked Singer star Jason Manford in new role

As a long-time fan of Jason Manford’s versatile talent, it’s always a delight to see him grace the stage with his charm and wit. With a career that spans from the West End to our living rooms on shows like “The Masked Singer UK,” there’s no denying his star power.

The Masked Singer UK star Jason Manford will be on the panto stage once again this Christmas.

An actor known for his roles on “Waterloo Road” will be appearing in a three-week run of the “Cinderella” production at Manchester’s Opera House, starting from December 14, 2024, and continuing until January 5, 2025.

You can purchase tickets via ATG, costing between £13 (excluding a transaction fee of £3.95) for various matinee and evening shows across multiple dates throughout the three-week period.

For the third consecutive year, Jason will be the leading actor in the pantomime at the Opera House; this time around, he’ll portray the handsome Prince Charming, sharing the stage with Sarah Vaughan, who plays Cinderella.

The cast also features drag legend Myra DuBois as Cinderella’s Wicked Stepmother and stage superstar Wendy Mae Brown as the Fairy God Mother. Panto favourite Ben Nickles will play Buttons.

At the Opera House, the rendition of the cherished fairy tale is filled with elements typical of Manchester’s beloved pantomimes, such as humorous scenes that make you laugh out loud, captivating backdrops, elegant attire, and ample amounts of boos and hisses.

Last Christmas, it was Jason who played the lead role in “Jack and the Beanstalk” at the Opera House. The previous year, he made his debut at that very same venue with a performance in “Peter Pan“.

The comedian boasts a long-standing career on stage, with performances in the West End’s “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.” Later, he spearheaded nationwide tours for “The Producers” and “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.”

2021 found me gracing the West End stage once more, belting out tunes in a live performance of “Something Rotten!” at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane. I shared the spotlight with Marisha Wallace, a familiar face from “Celebrity Big Brother,” and Richard Fleeshman, a veteran actor from “Coronation Street.” It was an unforgettable experience!

Television enthusiasts are well acquainted with this actor, admiring his compelling performances in shows like “Ordinary Lies” and “Death in Paradise”. Interestingly, they might not realize that he also participates incognito as The Hedgehog on the British version of “The Masked Singer”.

The Masked Singer airs on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
