How to see Emily in Paris’s Lily Collins in new role
As a fan who’s been following Lily Collins‘ journey from the small screen to the grand stage, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement! Having seen her transform Emily Cooper into a Parisian powerhouse, it’s thrilling to imagine what she’ll bring to the table in “Barcelona.”
Emily in Paris‘s Lily Collins will be starring in the West End production of Barcelona.
As a seasoned gamer and theatre enthusiast, I can’t contain my excitement for the upcoming opportunity to share the stage with playwright Bess Wohl in her two-hander play! Having spent countless hours immersing myself in virtual worlds, I never thought I’d find myself stepping into one of my favorite pastimes in real life. This limited 12-week run at the Duke of York’s Theatre this autumn promises an unforgettable experience that I can’t wait to be a part of. I’ve always been captivated by the power of storytelling and the emotional connections forged between characters, and I can only imagine what it will be like to bring Bess Wohl’s words to life on stage. It feels like a dream come true, and I’m eagerly looking forward to this incredible journey!
Collins, portraying an enchanting American tourist in Spain, spends a night with a captivating native (Álvaro Morte from ‘The Wheel of Time’) who was initially intended for a romantic rendezvous.
Initially, they meet under ordinary circumstances, but swiftly become entangled in personal and political mysteries. As they delve deeper, they uncover hidden truths about each other that fundamentally alter the essence of their encounter.
Barcelona hails from Lynette Linton, known for her previous works such as Sweat at the Donmar Warehouse and teaming up with Adjoa Andoh from Bridgerton in Richard II at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.
Hey there, gaming buddy! Exciting news if you’re a fan of live experiences – tickets are up for grabs right now for the epic event in Barcelona! You can grab them directly from ATG for just £25 (plus a small transaction fee of £3.95), or if you fancy a quick browse, LOVEtheatre also has them available for the same price! Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity – see you there!
The performance of Barcelona is set to commence on Monday, October 21, 2024, and conclude on Saturday, January 11, 2025.
Performances take place every day except Sundays at the Duke of York’s Theatre, starting at 8pm. Additionally, there are matinee shows on Wednesdays and Saturdays, which begin at 4:30 pm.
As a devoted theater enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that this upcoming performance marks the West End debut for both Collins and Morte. This highly-anticipated production is moving across the pond to our UK stages, having made its world premiere at the People’s Light & Theatre Company in the US.
Previously, the production at Geffen Playhouse in LA featured Betty Gilpin from GLOW and Carlos Leal known for The Last Thing He Wanted as the main actors.
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that the first three captivating seasons of Emily in Paris are available for streaming on Netflix! Mark your calendars because Season 4 Part 1 is set to premiere on Thursday, August 15. And if that wasn’t exciting enough, Season 4 Part 2 will follow on Thursday, September 12. Can’t wait to join Emily once more in the city of love!
