The long-awaited continuation of James Cameron’s epic action sci-fi series, “Avatar”, will grace the big screen this year on December 19th. On the other hand, the fifth installment of the beloved animated franchise, “Toy Story”, is set to hit theaters on June 19, 2026! Can’t wait to immerse myself in these cinematic adventures once more!

Where can I watch the first footage of Avatar 3 and Toy Story 5?

Movie-goers are set to catch a sneak peek of the initial trailers for Avatar: Fire and Ash and Toy Story 5 in cinemas, as these will be connected to the upcoming re-releases of Avatar: The Way of Water (2022) and the original Toy Story (1995). However, it’s yet to be determined if the Toy Story 5 clip they’ll see is the same one exclusively screened for attendees at the recent D23 event.

beginning on October 3, 2025, Avatar: The Way of Water will make a limited return to cinemas for a one-week engagement. In its original cinema release, the sequel broke box office records by earning over $2.3 billion globally, placing it among the top three highest-grossing films ever made. As before, James Cameron shares directing duties with co-writers Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver for this third installment. The stellar cast features familiar faces such as Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Giovanni Ribisi, Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Jack Champion, Bailey Bass, Edie Falco, and others.

To mark its 30th anniversary, Toy Story is set to return to cinemas on September 12th. Ever since it first hit the screens, the movie has managed to keep its exceptional rating on Rotten Tomatoes. In the coming year, Pixar will delve deeper into Buzz Lightyear and Woody’s adventures with the fifth installment of the series. This new chapter will see our cherished toys taking on an electronic tablet named LilyPad as their latest foe.
