How to report Voice chat in Rocket League
Epic Games has introduced Voice Chat reporting in Rocket League starting with Season 18.
In Season 18 of Rocket League, an improved method of reporting issues in the game through voice chat has been introduced. Similar to Fortnite, this voice reporting feature aims to maintain a positive and enjoyable gaming environment for players by allowing them to report any inappropriate behavior. Players can record and submit audio clips directly to Epic Games, who will then examine the reports and take necessary action accordingly. Here’s everything you need to know about using voice chat reporting in Rocket League.
How to report Voice chat in Rocket League?
Hereâs how you can report inappropriate Voice chat in Rocket League.
1. â Open the Sidebar and navigate to the voice chat tab
â 2. Press the âReport Conversationâ button
â 3. After the report loads on the next screen, press the âSubmit Reportâ button
â 4. Close the screen and return to your game
Reports made are kept confidential, meaning the person reporting someone else remains hidden. This way, it prevents potential conflicts among friends and teammates since they won’t be aware of who exactly has filed a report. However, as a player, you will only discover that you have been reported if some action is taken against you.
In Rocket League, players are invited to enable voice communication if they’d like to contribute audio clips and enhance our gaming community. Yet, for those without this feature enabled, there’s the option to mute or block accounts that may be contributing to an unsuitable game atmosphere instead.
How to customize Voice Chat Reporting in Rocket League
Players Under 18
In Rocket League, voice communication is activated for players below 18 years old. But if you or your parents prefer to keep your conversations private, simply adjust your settings. To muffle your mic or completely disable voice chat, navigate to ‘Voice chat settings’ and choose ‘Off’.
For parents and guardians, you have the ability to control your child’s voice chat settings through the Epic Account portal. You can use the Parental controls provided by Epic Games for this purpose.
Players Over 18
Individuals who have reached eighteen years old can adjust their voice chat settings within Rocket League. Here’s how you can access those settings:
If you’re over 18, you can customize your voice chat options in Rocket League. To get there, follow these steps:
- Chat
- View Voice Chat settings
- Voice Reporting
- Select âAlways Onâ or âOff when possibleâ.Â
1. Option “Always On” keeps voice chat active in all channels you’re involved in.
2. Option “Off When Possible” enables voice reporting only when Party Channels have members with their voice settings set to “Always On”. Epic Games will address accounts violating community guidelines based on your feedback.
How to check if you are participating in a voice chat conversation that has voice reporting on?
At a gathering where you’re playing, there’s a good likelihood that some or all of your fellow players have enabled voice chat. As a participant, it’s crucial for you to be aware if your party is using voice chat. You can determine this by glancing at the sidebar, which will display the status of voice chat for your group.
