Her voice is naturally resonant and alluring, able to breathe life into even the most mundane of stories. With just the slightest intonation or emphasis, she could transform a simple narrative into a captivating experience that felt as vividly alive in my ears as I had imagined it would be in my mind’s eye.
The three novels penned by Pullman, namely “His Dark Materials,” follow the thrilling journeys of two remarkable kids, Lyra Belacqua and Will Parry. They encounter various alternate realities and come face-to-face with mystical beings.
The three-season BBC One broadcast of the TV version earned it four British Academy Television Craft Awards and three Royal Television Society Craft & Design Awards.
