How to get Late Night With the Devil’s special edition 4K release
As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for horror movies, I can’t help but feel a chill run down my spine at the prospect of the 4K release of “Late Night With the Devil.” Having grown up on a steady diet of found footage films and late-night television, this movie seems to be tailor-made for me. The idea of a struggling talk show host dabbling with the supernatural for ratings is both intriguing and unsettling, much like my early gaming experiences with survival horror games.
The spooky movie “Late Night With the Devil” will be getting a special 4K edition release, perfect for Halloween viewing!
At the time of its release, Digital Spy labeled it as “the top horror movie of the year so far.” The film, titled “Late Night With the Devil“, revolves around a talk show host’s daring strategy in an effort to revive his struggling career.
This movie made its debut in UK theaters back in March of this year. It’s set to come out in a high-definition 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray version on October 28, 2024. You can pre-order this limited edition from HMV and Amazon for £39.99.
On Halloween night, 1977, with the aim of increasing ratings, a host of a struggling late-night talk show announced they would air the first ever live exorcism on television. This is the recording of that terrifying incident.
Under the title “Late Night With the Devil,” David Dastmalchian from “Ant-Man” plays the main character, Jack Delroy, who is hosting this show. The narrative unfolds like a found footage movie, with Jack stirring controversy as he conducts interviews with a parapsychologist and a teenage girl, the lone survivor of a Satanic church’s tragic mass suicide event.
The Blu-ray comes packed with additional content like director and actor discussions through audio commentary, exclusive interviews with filmmakers, and a peek at what happened backstage with behind-the-scenes material.
As a gamer excitedly unboxing the limited edition of this game, I’m blown away by the high-quality rigid slipcase adorned with unique artwork by Haley Turnbull. Inside, there’s a 120-page book that takes me behind the scenes with amazing images and insightful essays penned by Kat Hughes, James Rose, Rebecca Sayce, Graham Skipper, Julieann Stipidis, and Emma Westwood. To top it off, I get six collectors’ art cards to add to my gaming memorabilia collection! What a fantastic addition to my gaming library!
If you prefer a simpler option without extra items, HMV provides the movie in standard 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray format as well. This £24.99 version comes with all the special features but lacks the limited edition memorabilia. You can pre-order it before its release on October 28, 2024.
In other places, you can reserve the Blu-ray version of “Late Night with the Devil” on Amazon for £16.99, or you can start streaming it on Shudder.
