How to get House of the Dragon season 2’s limited-edition Steelbook

As a seasoned gamer and collector of all things Game of Thrones, I must say that the news of House of the Dragon‘s second season Steelbook box set has me beyond excited! With its intricate storyline and stunning visuals, this series is a must-have for any Westeros enthusiast.

House of the Dragon‘s second season is getting a limited-edition 4K Steelbook box set.

Last week, I wrapped up the second season of Sky, and let me tell you, the finale was quite contentious. Now, they’re planning to release it on home video.

Currently, HMV is offering a special Steelbook box set for pre-ordering at the price of £49.99. The planned release date is set for November 18, 2024.

The physical extras offer eight shiny silver cardstock images showcasing main characters from the second season of “House of the Dragon”, along with a handbook detailing episode summaries.

For the second season’s home video release, there are alternative choices available to consider. Amazon offers the most affordable price for the standard 4K set priced at approximately £33.32. On the other hand, both HMV and Zavvi also stock the 4K set, but it retails at its recommended price of £39.99.

As a gamer, I’d say: If you’re looking to grab the standard Blu-ray set, I recommend checking out Amazon first. They’ve got it listed at a guaranteed pre-order price of just £24.99, while HMV and Zavvi are offering it for the full retail price of £29.99. That’s a significant difference in your wallet!

From Amazon, you can find the most affordable DVD priced at £20.82, whereas HMV offers a pre-order for the same DVD at £24.99.

Following the news from last week about HBO and Sky extending House of the Dragon for another two seasons, it’s important to note that season four will mark the end of the series.

In simple terms, the producer Ryan Condal has assured fans of “House of the Dragon” that they can anticipate more magnificent scenes in the last two seasons, as the show delves into the well-known Battle of the Gullet from George RR Martin’s “Fire & Blood” series.

The first eight seasons of the TV series known as “Game of Thrones” can be purchased on DVD or Blu-ray. On the other hand, the upcoming spin-off series titled “House of the Dragon” is being broadcasted on HBO and Max in the United States, and on Sky Atlantic and NOW in the UK.
