Want to catch Eevee in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen? Here’s a guide to finding and catching it.
Eevee has been a popular Pokémon since the very beginning, largely because it can evolve into many different forms. The Pokémon series has even added more of these evolutions over time. If you’re playing Pokémon FireRed or LeafGreen, here’s how you can get your own Eevee.
Now that classic Pokémon games are available on Nintendo Switch and attracting new players, here’s a guide to help you catch Eevee in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen.
How to get Eevee in Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen
A great thing about getting Eevee in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen is that you don’t even need to battle or catch it! You simply pick up a Poké Ball that already has Eevee inside. It’s really that simple!
To find the person you need to speak with, go to Celadon City, home of the fourth Gym. Then, make your way to the top of Celadon Mansion. You’ll see a Poké Ball on a table – pick it up, and you’ll discover an Eevee inside!
And there, Eevee is now yours.
So, now that you have an Eevee, what do you do next? Well, it’s time to evolve the Pokémon.
All Eevee evolutions
Although Eevee has many different evolved forms throughout the Pokémon series, the original FireRed and LeafGreen games only featured its first three evolutions.
- Flareon
- Vaporeon
- Jolteon
Choosing the right Eevee evolution depends on your starter Pokémon. If you started with Charmander, avoid Flareon unless you’re building a team entirely of Fire-types.
Choose an evolution that adds a new type to your team. Before you do, think about your overall team strategy – make sure you don’t already have plans to get a Pokémon of that type later on.
