Nadia Bartel recently revealed some of the beauty routines and dietary habits that help her maintain her youthful appearance.
On Saturday, at Derby Day in Melbourne, the former wife of a famous athlete and fashion designer revealed her tips for staying young-looking at 40.
Many people might think Nadia maintains her looks with costly procedures, but the mom of two explains that getting sufficient sleep has actually made the biggest difference.
She explained that she’s been using an Oura ring—a device that tracks sleep—for the past two years, and it’s helped her establish consistent and effective routines for both mornings and evenings.
She explained that she enjoys having a relaxing bedtime routine that helps her fall asleep easily.
It doesn’t matter how many treatments or supplements you try if you’re not getting enough sleep. People often underestimate just how crucial sleep is for your body to recover and rebuild.



Nadia explained that she begins each day by trying to stay calm and upbeat.
I start my day by focusing on self-care. I journal, drink water, take my vitamins, and simply take time to be mindful and connect with myself.
Besides making healthy lifestyle choices, she’s also shared that she wears sunscreen every day to protect her skin.
She emphasized that sunscreen is a crucial part of any beauty routine, calling it a simple yet effective way to protect skin from premature aging, sunspots, and damage. It’s her most important product, and she won’t skip it.
To brighten and add glow to her skin, she uses a La Roche-Posay Vitamin C serum (priced at $69.95) after cleansing.
Knowing that makeup and self-tanner can cause breakouts, she prevents them by using a mild exfoliating cleanser from Cetaphil.
Nadia explained that increasing her protein intake was the most significant part of her recent fitness journey and body transformation.
Nadia is looking and feeling better than ever, having gotten in shape for a lingerie campaign for Fine Lines last year.


I’ve been following her journey for a while now, and it’s been really inspiring! She actually stopped eating red meat a long time ago, becoming a pescatarian when she was just sixteen. More recently, she decided to eliminate fish too, and now she’s fully vegetarian. It’s amazing to see her commitment!
Nadia told the Daily Mail at last year’s Derby Day that she noticed major improvements in her body fat, skin, and hair after starting to eat meat again.
She explained that she realized she wasn’t getting enough nutrients as a vegetarian. Increasing her protein intake has been the biggest change she’s made.
I’ve seen a big improvement in my body composition and fat levels since I started eating meat again, and now I really enjoy it!
As for her workout regime, Nadia’s go-to exercise is Pilates… and weightlifting.


She shared that she feels happiest when she’s active and eats healthy. Her favorite workouts include Pilates, walking, and weightlifting.
People generally reach their strongest and most muscular point between ages 30 and 35. After that, muscle mass and strength slowly decrease over time.
As a lifestyle expert, I often talk about how our bodies change with age. What I’ve noticed is that we generally start to lose muscle strength gradually around age 40. This decline is pretty slow at first, but it picks up speed – typically around 65 for women and 70 for men. It’s a natural process, but understanding it helps us stay active and healthy as we get older!
Lifting weights and building strength are excellent ways to fight the natural loss of muscle that comes with age.
