What is the Roaming Oak Tree in Heartopia

The Roaming Oak Tree, sometimes called Oak-Oak, isn’t an ordinary tree you’d simply cut down for wood. It’s a unique, living creature that plays an important role in Heartopia’s story. Unlike other trees that grow back on their own, the Roaming Oak Tree actually moves around the island, and its constantly growing roots often get it stuck.

You can’t access the Roaming Oak Tree right away. You’ll unlock it as you progress through the game’s story. This way, you’ll meet Oak-Oak as a natural part of your forest exploration, instead of finding it by chance without knowing why it’s there.

Where to find the Roaming Oak Tree in Heartopia

To find the Roaming Oak Tree in Heartopia, you’ll need to progress through the story, not just explore. First, complete the main quest called “Astralis in Forest.” This quest unlocks the area where the Roaming Oak Tree appears and introduces you to the characters who will help you along the way.

While completing the Astralis in Forest quest, you’ll encounter two forest rangers, Patti and Cassie, who will help you understand the forest and your place within it. As you assist them with a few small tasks, Cassie will present a riddle about a troubled, lively creature. Don’t worry, though – Heartopia makes solving this riddle quite manageable.

The game shows you exactly where to go with a marker on your map, leading you straight to Oak-Oak. This prevents you from getting lost in the forest. Just follow the marker, and you’ll find Oak-Oak stuck somewhere within the trees.

Now, use your pickaxe on Oak-Oak. You can hit it without worry – you’re just breaking the roots to free it. Once Oak-Oak is free, you’ll receive three pieces of Roaming Oak Timber.

Once you’ve rescued Oak-Oak initially, you’ll finish the quest by reporting back to Cassie and Patti. After that, the Roaming Oak Tree will become a regular part of your game. Unfortunately, Oak-Oak keeps wandering around, and its roots grow so much that it gets stuck in a new location every day.
