How the new Disney+/Hulu/Max bundle compares to other streaming deals
As a dedicated cinephile with a deep love for films and series across various genres and networks, I can’t help but be excited about the new streaming bundle offered by Disney and Warner Bros. Discovering new content and expanding my media library is an essential part of my life.
Bundling up in the middle of summer?
Disney and Warner are providing an opportunity for viewers to have all three in one go. They’re introducing a new streaming package which grants access to the content collections of Disney+, Hulu, and Max.
Starting at just $16.99 per month with advertisements, or $29.99 per month without, audiences can now conveniently access hit shows like “Bluey” (Disney+), “The Bear” (Hulu), and “House of the Dragon” (Max). The studios announced this option on Thursday.
As a long-time subscriber of multiple streaming services, I can tell you that keeping up with my favorite shows and movies across different platforms can get quite expensive. So, when I heard about the new deals for these three streaming services, I was thrilled! Separately, they would set me back $26 per month with commercials or a hefty $49 per month without them. But with these new deals, I’ll be saving an effective 35-40% off those prices. And to add to the excitement, there are already discounts for subscribing to Disney+ and Hulu together. As someone who values both convenience and cost savings, this is a win-win situation for me!
Together, Disney+, Hulu, and Max are home to well-known media labels such as ABC, CNN, Discovery, Food Network, FX, HBO, HGTV, Pixar, Lucasfilm, DC, and Marvel.
Consumers who buy the new package can look forward to watching popular films and shows, including “Frozen,” “Dune,” “The Mandalorian,” and “True Detective.”
The Disney+/Hulu/Max deal isn’t the only streaming bundle out there.
Over the past few years, I’ve noticed how challenging it has been for significant media firms to attract sufficient subscribers on their own to turn a profit and keep up with the uncontested leader in the streaming industry: Netflix.
To increase their subscriber base and retain customers while addressing criticism over the proliferation of streaming services, several studios have chosen to collaborate instead.
Here are some other ways to save money during the streaming revolution.
Disney+/Hulu: $9.99 per month with ads, $19.99 per month without ads.
As a busy working mom, I find myself constantly looking for affordable yet high-quality entertainment options for my family. Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ have been our go-to choices lately. The pricing is quite reasonable, especially considering the vast array of content they offer.
Netflix/Max: $10 per month with ads, available only to Verizon customers with eligible cellphone or home internet plans.
Xfinity customers can access Peacock and Netflix for $15 a month with ads.)
