When she was just six years old, a Vogue Enfants photoshoot led people to call her ‘the most beautiful girl in the world‘.

Thylane Blondeau, now 24, has always found it difficult to be seen as just a normal person, despite being labeled as something special. She’s repeatedly tried to emphasize that she’s simply a human being.

She admitted she hadn’t fully grasped the significance of it when she was young, and later in life, she made a conscious effort not to let it control her identity.

When you’re a kid, you don’t really notice things like that,” Thylane said. “People would tell me I was the most beautiful girl in the world, but I’d just think, ‘No, I’m not, I’m just having fun with my iPad.’

People still tell me I’m beautiful, but I always respond by saying I’m just a normal teenager, like everyone else.

Thylane, who recently announced her engagement to French DJ Ben Attal, explained that she wants people to get to know her as an individual, not just recognize her name.

In a 2018 interview with The Telegraph, she shared that the most important thing in modeling is having a strong personality – a beauty that comes from within as well as from appearance.

She explained that she won’t change her body to fit what’s expected in the entertainment industry. She said, ‘I’m not interested in being thin. If someone tells me I’m not skinny enough for a role, I’m happy to move on.’

I won’t sacrifice my own well-being to meet anyone else’s expectations. I’ll eat what I want, when I want, and I enjoy things like burgers. I’m not going to change my habits for anyone.

When asked about her future in modeling, she said she simply wants to pursue happiness and do things she enjoys.

‘If I still want to be a model, I [will] model, and [do] acting. But I want to be happy first.’

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve seen many stories, and Thylane’s is quite unique! She didn’t actually choose to become a model at first. She was just three years old when she was spotted in Paris and asked to walk in a Jean Paul Gaultier show – it all happened so young for her! It wasn’t a decision she made herself, but rather a surprising opportunity that came along.

Thylane shared the first glimpse of her engagement ring with her fans on social media, revealing a stunning oval diamond set in gold, valued at over £30,000. She received the ring shortly after her boyfriend proposed to her outdoors at the luxurious Four Seasons.

Captioning an array of photos, the model wrote: ‘I said yes to my best friend. Here’s to forever.’
