Last week, when the cast for I’m A Celebrity 2025 was announced, everyone immediately started asking: who is AngryGinge?
That is, unless you were under the age of 25.
The 23-year-old streamer is a popular figure among Gen Z, with over five million followers on social media.
The show has recently been trying to appeal to a younger audience by featuring social media personalities like GK Barry and Nella Rose.
ITV executives are counting on popular internet personality Morgan Burtwistle, who goes by the names Angryginge and Angryginge13 online, to attract a large audience.
Even before the show begins, bookmakers are predicting Morgan will win and be named King of the Jungle.

It’s amazing how quickly this young creator has risen to prominence. He only began making online content five years ago, starting with live streams on Twitch – a platform where people watch and share videos, often of video games.
People can earn money on the platform through channel subscriptions, advertisements, and Bits – a virtual currency viewers can purchase to support their favorite streamers.
I started watching Morgan back in October 2020, and I quickly learned he was relatively new to streaming. He actually took up FIFA streaming because he was inspired by Castro1021 – I remember him mentioning that a lot early on!
I remember hearing Morgan talk about his beginnings, and it really struck me – it wasn’t an instant rise to fame at all! He actually told me his first stream maxed out at just 40 viewers, and he only made about £12.44 from it. It’s amazing to see how far he’s come, knowing he started with numbers like that.
After a few months, he decided to stop streaming on Twitch temporarily because he felt discouraged by the low number of viewers – usually only about six or seven watched his content.
After his grandfather passed away from Covid in 2021, he went back to streaming as a full-time job, posting new content every weekday to build his audience.
Let me tell you, dedication really does work! I’ve seen so many people turn their passions into income, and this is a perfect example. He kept at it, spreading his reach across different social platforms, and before long, he was earning a fantastic income – all from his bedroom! It just proves you don’t need a fancy office to build something successful.
Morgan is expected to have earned between £804,000 and £1.1 million from social media in the last year.

Morgan, who grew up with his mother on a housing estate in Salford, Manchester, explained to indy100 why he thinks people are responding positively to his success: he believes it’s because he shares a similar background with them.
Growing up on a council estate gives me a real understanding of the challenges people face there, and allows me to connect with them and build genuine relationships.
His bio simply reads: ‘I’m ginger. I have a joke and a laugh don’t be offended!
‘My real name is Morgan. I play games and stuff. Come watch!! (Main Aim is to Entertain)’.
Morgan still lives in Manchester but last year was able to buy his own home.
To save money for a down payment, he used to live in a run-down apartment that cost £350 a month. It didn’t even have a shower, and the wallpaper was peeling.
The celebrity jokingly called his former home a ‘pub’ because people kept asking if he actually lived there.
After gaining popularity online, Morgan has been invited to play in several charity football games, such as Soccer Aid.
Following the game, he got into an online argument with ex-Manchester City player Carlos Tevez, using offensive language to insult him.
He was injured after a hard slide tackle on the Argentinian player. The collision left him with a bad cut on his leg.
After the incident, Morgan posted a picture of his leg wound online, along with a message directed at Tevez using offensive language.
He announced on Twitch that other popular participants from Soccer Aid had agreed to join his project, and then performed his own version of the Cranberries’ song, “Zombie.”
He mocked his opponent, chanting “Tevez, Tevez, Tevez! I’m in your head!” repeatedly.

While he can’t count Carlos as a friend, he has built up a good relationship with Wayne Rooney.
The pair got to know each other by streaming FIFA and quickly became friends.
Morgan shared that Wayne Rooney is a fantastic person – really down-to-earth, funny, and someone he’s always looked up to. He described Rooney as both brilliant and hilarious.
It’s amazing that I was able to visit him at his place, have a drink, and just relax and talk – I never thought it would happen.
He’s close friends with KSI, one of the judges on Britain’s Got Talent. Last year, he was featured on the Netflix reality show InSIDE, which was hosted by KSI and the Sidemen YouTube group.
A group of well-known personalities from reality TV and online platforms – including Chloe Burrows from Love Island, Olivia Bentley from Made In Chelsea, and YouTuber Specs Gonzalez – competed in a series of challenges for a £1 million prize. However, every purchase and activity they undertook reduced the amount of money available.
Over the summer, Morgan also appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox alongside darts player Luke Littler.

He hasn’t been without controversy, however.
Last July, Morgan and two other streamers were arrested at the British Grand Prix. They were accused of damaging a Formula 1 car on display at Silverstone, causing around £30,000 in damage.
Police reported that a classic car at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone Circuit was damaged for several thousand pounds on July 4th. Someone reportedly got onto the display and climbed into the car, causing the damage.
‘Officers carried out initial inquiries, and suspects were identified.
Police arrested three men – ages 23, 25, and 27 – after they allegedly damaged a vehicle. The men are currently being held in police custody.
After a complete review of what happened, the three men were released and won’t face any charges.
Photos shared on social media show AngryGinge being escorted away by police on Friday at a fan gathering at the famous racetrack.
Streamers Chazza and SamHam were also accused of damaging a BWT Racing Point Formula 1 car, but they strongly denied the claims.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled to share that Morgan is about to become known by a whole new audience! He’s joining the cast of ‘I’m A Celebrity’ which starts this Sunday, and I think viewers are going to love getting to know him.
He’s joining celebrities like model Kelly Brook and Ruby Wax, the 72-year-old comedian and mental health advocate, as a contestant on the show.
The show has added two popular soap stars: Shona McGarty, who played Whitney Dean on EastEnders for sixteen years, and Lisa Riley, famous for playing Mandy Dingle on Emmerdale.
The lineup also includes actor and musician Martin Kemp, age 64, alongside TV personalities Alex Scott, 41, and Vogue Williams, 40, and rapper Aitch, 25.
Jack Osbourne, age 39, will also be joining the camp only four months after the sad passing of his father, rock legend Ozzy Osbourne.
