How Silent Hill f’s lead actress inspired the cast to stream the game

Once Konatsu Kato’s streams became popular, the other cast members decided to join in and also stream Silent Hill!

The actors from the upcoming Silent Hill f are getting into streaming, starting with Konatsu Kato. Her fun and lively YouTube gameplay already introduced many fans to the game, and now other cast members are joining in – and fans are excited!

The beginning of the Silent Hill f streams

It all began when Konatsu Kato, the actress who plays Hinako Shimizu, said she’d be streaming the game Silent Hill f on YouTube. Despite the game being in Japanese, fans from around the world tuned in to watch and support her, even as she struggled with the gameplay. Like a lot of players, Kato isn’t very experienced with console games.

Kato’s funny reactions while playing quickly became popular within the Silent Hill fanbase, helping her YouTube streams gain a lot of viewers. As of today, she’s created nine streams that have been watched around 12 million times in total. The buzz around this highly anticipated 2025 horror game has even encouraged other actors from the game to join in and play with fans.

Rinko joins the Silent Hill f streams train

Yuuka Iijima, the actress who played Rinko, recently started streaming the game Silent Hill f on November 19th. She streamed again on November 22nd and plans to complete the game in future streams, having already gained almost a million views across her broadcasts.

If you’re a fan of this series, you won’t want to miss Iijima – she’s as engaging as Kato and clearly shares our passion for the game.

I just found out that Rinko’s voice actress, Frankie Kevich, did an interview with Xpsp! It sounds like a great way to learn more about the character and what it was like for Frankie to bring her to life. It’s cool to see all the different roles she’s played too – I already knew she voices Conduit in Apex Legends, but I didn’t realize she also did Machyua in Fire Emblem and Cantabile in Arknights! Definitely going to check it out.

Shu is coming next!

Natsuki Osaki, the actor who plays Shu, announced on November 25th that he will be streaming gameplay of the upcoming game Silent Hill f, following the recent trend of cast members doing so. He shared on X (formerly Twitter), “I’ve decided! I’m going to stream a playthrough of Silent Hill f before the end of the year!” He promised to announce the stream date soon.

Fans will have to wait a little longer to see Shu appear on screen, but this is a positive trend that allows actors to connect with their audience. It’s really heartwarming to see them fully explore all sides of their characters in such a captivating manner!

So, Osaki is the third of the Silent Hill f cast to start streaming the game, which is awesome! That just leaves Eri Goda as the only one who hasn’t jumped in yet. I’m still waiting for Sakuko Igarashi’s actress to join the fun, though. She hasn’t said anything about it, but it would be incredible if all four of us who play the main characters could stream together!
