On the very first episode of I’m A Celeb last Sunday evening, Colleen created quite an impression by tipping over her canoe at the start of the program.

As a lifestyle expert, I found myself in an exhilarating yet challenging situation alongside Coleen and Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough, as we embarked on our first adventure: navigating a rowing boat down a swift-flowing river. Unfortunately, our initial voyage didn’t go as planned, as the boat took an unexpected dip, causing us to start off on the wrong foot amidst the tense first challenge for the 10 of us celebrities.

In the grand premiere of the show, the boat incident was one exciting segment, and it wasn’t the only thrilling moment. Danny Jones, Tulisa, Jane Moore, Dean, and Oti Mabuse took the excitement to new heights by parachuting into the jungle as well.

In the meantime, Barry McGuigan, also known as GK Barry, along with Alan Halsall, Coleen, and Melvin Odoom, were hanging out at the beach, waiting for the arrival of the remaining five campmates.

After completing the skydiving stunt, each celebrity was tasked with choosing another celebrity they’d like to race against towards the finish line.

Dean thought up an innovative plan to plug the leak in their boat using his coat and Colleen’s scarf, yet they soon found themselves sinking once more.

Cheeky car gag

For a moment, Colleen shared a peek at her luxurious life being married to a past England sports celebrity, when they climbed into a Range Rover following their pairing for the competition.

The pair rushed to a car to drive to camp and viewers were left in stitches when Coleen said: ‘I’m used to driving big cars.’

Dean immediately replied: ‘Of course you are babes… I used to drive a Ford Fiesta.’

Insight into married life

Upon reaching the camp, Coleen disclosed that her husband Wayne had been persistent in obtaining her, as she shared insights into their marital life.

In her camp, at the age of 38, Colleen felt comfortable discussing topics related to their romantic lives with her fellow campers.

For 16 years, her marriage with Wayne, who she first encountered at the age of 12 in their hometown of Liverpool, hasn’t been free from controversies that made headlines.

In 2008, the woman who became wife to the renowned footballer, shared that it wasn’t an instant love connection when they initially crossed paths with Wayne.

At the campfire, Coleen engaged in conversation with GK Barry, Oti Mabuse, and Jane Moore.

Oti asked: ‘And it was love at first sight?’

Coleen replied: ‘No it was for him, not for me. He fought to get me, yeah.

‘I waited until I’d done my GCSEs and then I went on a date. I was pretty good at school.’

On elaborating more about their initial date to the movie theater, she confessed they shared a kiss near the church prior.

2008 saw their grand wedding in the picturesque village of Portofino on the Italian Riviera. However, prior to this eventful day, it was revealed that Wayne had been intimate with sex workers when he was caught on surveillance cameras at a secretive brothel in Liverpool.

In their honesty, they followed through on what they had stated earlier, and when the campmates were becoming acquainted with each other and sharing intimate details of their lives, they began by discussing – a reference to the viral social media post made by Coleen Rooney, where she accused Rebekah of spreading ‘untrue stories’ about her personal life to the media.

The well-known moniker “Wagatha Christie” refers to the high-profile £1.8 million lawsuit between Coleen and Rebekah Vardy, which reached its climax in a widely publicized court case in 2022.

Rebekah strongly refuted the accusations against her and took Coleen to court for making false statements (libel). This case, often referred to as the ‘Wagatha Christie’ trial, ended up ruling in favor of Coleen, which means that Rebekah now needs to pay £1.5 million towards Coleen’s legal costs.

Just last month, Rebekah was ordered to pay £100,000 of the money she owes.
