How long is the Chicago PD season 12 winter hiatus?
As a seasoned gamer of the One Chicago universe, I can’t help but feel a mix of anticipation and apprehension as we approach the winter break. The fractured dynamics within Intelligence, especially with Torres’ heartbreak and the looming shadow of Deputy Chief Reid’s intentions, have left us hanging on the edge of our seats. It’s like playing a game of chess where every move matters, but the pieces keep getting rearranged without warning.
The situation seems bleak for Intelligence at the moment. The team has become divided because of Torres’ actions, but there’s a glimmer of hope that they might reunite as a cohesive unit following the events depicted in the Chicago PD season 12 fall finale.
The story concluded with a heavy dose of sadness for Torres. Yet, it’s not just this heartbreak we’re concerned about. Deputy Chief Reid is aware of everything that transpired. He understands Torres’ actions, he’s informed about Burgess, and he suspects Voight tried to hide the truth. However, what puzzles us is why Reid hasn’t acted? Why doesn’t he close down the department instead?
It seems that Reid is hiding some self-serving intentions; he’s trying to foster a friendship between himself and Voight. We suspect this won’t end well in the future. What actions of Reid does he want Voight to conceal? Typically, the answer lies in the upcoming episodes. Unfortunately, we must wait for the winter break to conclude to uncover the truth.
Chicago PD season 12 returns in January 2025
During the upcoming winter hiatus, it’s not an extended one. Compared to popular Thursday night TV series, it’s quite brief. In essence, this winter break falls within the usual duration. Previously, the Chicago shows have finished a week before Thanksgiving and resumed in early January.
Here’s what you can expect: The next episode of Chicago PD, season 12, will be broadcasted on Wednesday, January 8th. As usual, it will follow the conclusion of Chicago Med and Chicago Fire, airing at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Indeed, all three shows are scheduled to air together.
We even get a look at what we’ll be able to expect when the show returns. Voight shares with the team that two little girls have been kidnapped and the kidnappers want $200k from the family. If the kidnappers don’t get it, the girls will be killed. Voight is going to do everything in his power to prevent that from happening.
This situation appears unrelated to what Reid desires. However, he might still find a way to complicate things. Nevertheless, based on current observations, this seems more suitable for Voight and his team to handle – addressing the rift that’s arisen following recent occurrences.
