How Kanye West Seemingly Showed More Remorse After Making Comments About Jay-Z And Beyoncé’s Kids
Over the past few months, Kanye West‘s social media posts have attracted a lot of attention, often due to his candid opinions on various topics and public figures. At 47 years old, West found himself in hot water when he made controversial remarks about the children of Beyoncé and Jay-Z. After a period of backlash, he eventually apologized for those comments. More recently, it appears that West is expressing regret over his past statements with another post on social media.
In a post written entirely in capital letters, posted to X in March (as reported by The Source), Ye made a statement about the infrequent public appearances of Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s younger children, Rumi and Sir. He suggested that they are “special” or “differently-abled,” and went on to say that artificial insemination is beneficial because it avoids having “special” children. Ye further stated that choosing to have “special” children is a personal decision he disagreed with, expressing these opinions multiple times in subsequent posts as well.
Kanye West, who won a Grammy, expressed regret for his remarks from April through another post. Previously, he stated, “I’m sorry Jay Z. I’ve been feeling bad about my tweet…” It appears that Ye is still reflecting on the viral comments, as he shared a deleted post over the weekend (as reported by The Source): In it, he merely expressed, “I’m sorry Jay Z.
All my dreams have been about apologizing to Jay Z.
In the past, Kanye West and Shawn Carter (better known as Jay-Z) were good friends and even worked together. Their most recognized joint work is the 2011 album “Watch the Throne”. This was their only collaboration until the 2021 release of “Donda”, although it appears they haven’t collaborated much since then, as Kanye West cited some lyrics on Jay-Z’s track “Jail” from that latter album as a reason for their lack of continued collaboration. It seems their friendship has cooled down now.
Other well-known figures from the music industry have found themselves embroiled in Kanye West’s social media outbursts too. In one instance, the “Fantastic” artist mentioned Taylor Swift and speculated that she wouldn’t sleep with him because of his race. (It was reported that Swift intended to issue a cease-and-desist letter against West.) Additionally, the founder of Yeezy expressed his disapproval when Kid Cudi testified at Sean “P. Diddy” Combs’ sex-trafficking trial, stating that he wished Cudi hadn’t testified.
I’ve faced criticism for some thoughtless remarks I made about people of the Jewish faith, which I deeply regret. A while ago, I professed that I was stepping away from antisemitism and sought forgiveness. However, there have also been instances where I’ve made personal statements, such as claiming to have had an incestuous relationship with a cousin in my past. These comments seem to have caused concern for my ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, who has reportedly taken steps to ensure our and our four children’s safety.
Regarding Kanye West’s comments concerning Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s children, neither member of the celebrity duo has publicly responded. However, Tina Knowles, Beyoncé’s mother, appeared to defend her family following the initial posts that went viral. Additionally, Tina’s former spouse, Matthew Knowles, hinted at possible legal consequences for West’s comments. Despite Kanye reportedly altering his stance, it remains uncertain whether the law will be involved in this situation.
