How Harry and Meghan have hired ‘divisive’ PR head who oversaw mortifying Royal programme that showed Diana’s ghost and Harry as a Nazi: Shock move revealed in full by ALISON BOSHOFF

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have chosen a PR specialist known for handling Netflix’s contentious series, “The Crown,” about the Royal Family, to help shape their public persona instead.

It turns out that Emily Robinson, who was recently appointed as ‘the director of communications’, had been leading the program since seasons three to six – an unexpected turn of events.

She managed global promotion for various storylines including Harry dressed as a Nazi, Diana’s controversial Panorama interview and a ‘ghost’ Diana conversing with the Queen. She was also part of the team that resisted demands for a disclaimer when, in series five, the show portrayed Charles conspiring against his mother and enjoying the prospect of her abdication.

Many people think that “The Crown” was a source of annoyance, embarrassment, and offense to the Royal Family, with Robinson being the one who championed it as a high-quality drama revealing fundamental truths about the monarchy.

Reports indicate that she maintained control over publicity for The Crown with firm authority, which made her a contentious presence within Netflix. Consequently, she parted ways with the company in April 2024, just a few months following the broadcast of the final, highly debated series.

In the sixth season, I found a captivating portrayal of Mohamed Al Fayed, father of my beloved Diana’s boyfriend Dodi, subtly suggesting he might have been a victim of a biased, perhaps even racist, Establishment. However, whispers about Mr. Fayed being a sexual predator had already filled the air before the series premiered, and since then, it seems those claims have been validated in numerous accounts from women who suffered at the hands of the powerful figure behind Harrods.

According to reports, it’s hard to imagine that Harry and Meghan would recruit a person directly from ‘The Crown,’ given the current situation.

1) The pairing of Netflix and Harry and Meghan has inflicted significant distress on the Royal Family, particularly due to their explosive documentary series that revealed sensitive information.

In that interview, I openly shared my experience of being denied assistance when I was struggling with suicidal thoughts. Meanwhile, Prince Harry boldly accused our Royal Family of harboring unconscious racial biases and of leaking negative information about myself and my spouse. These allegations have certainly sparked conversations and raised important questions about the inner workings of our institution.

It’s clear that the Sussexes recognize Robinson’s connection to The Crown, viewing it as just a piece of her extensive career history. Interestingly, Prince Harry has expressed in the past that he finds it acceptable for The Crown to dramatize certain private moments of the Royal Family.

2021 saw him explain to James Corden during an interview that their content isn’t disguised as news; instead, it is a form of storytelling with roots in reality.

He added: “I find it much easier to handle ‘The Crown’ compared to reading articles about my family, my spouse, or me personally.

In 2023, during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Prince Harry admitted that he had indeed watched The Crown. When asked if he cross-referenced facts while watching, he responded affirmatively, emphasizing that this practice is crucial for ensuring historical accuracy.

According to a source, Robinson was consistently warm and helpful towards Peter Morgan and the entire cast of The Crown. She belongs to the category of publicists who believe that the talent should never be questioned or criticized.

Angelina’s charity gives handout to LA school nepo babies

In 2014, the late Queen bestowed the title of Honorary Dame upon Angelina Jolie, recognizing her efforts to eradicate sexual violence in conflict areas and her contributions to British foreign policy.

However, concerning matters closer to home, doubts have arisen regarding the latest submission of the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, a charitable organization co-founded by her and her former spouse, Brad Pitt.

The records indicate that it donated funds to numerous refugee charities, hospitals, and disaster aid programs. However, it was also found to have made contributions to the Buckley School in Los Angeles – a prestigious private school known for its notable alumni, including Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, who are offspring of celebrities.

The ‘Buckley Financial Assistance Endowment’ refers to a contribution of $5,000. This charitable gift is specifically intended to aid students who, without this support, would be unable to attend due to financial constraints.

He mentioned that the money contributed accounted for roughly three percent of what they refer to as “direct donations,” and that these direct donations are just one aspect of the Foundation’s overall purpose.

It’s been admitted that the charity’s overall spending has decreased significantly over the past few years, falling from approximately $3 million to $1 million. This reduction is due to the Foundation being in the middle of closing its endowment as Ms. Jolie shifts her philanthropic activities and focus towards a separate entity, which she will operate independently.

According to reports coming from Pitt’s circle, it seems he hasn’t been very active with the charity for a while now. When asked about it, he would redirect the questions to Jolie.

Packham takes a pop at ‘flabby’ docs

Chris Packham, a presenter on Springwatch, appears content to ruffle some feathers. In a bold statement, he criticized modern television producers, remarking: “There’s an abundance of poorly made TV today. If I were the young Chris now, I wouldn’t find the educational and enriching experiences in TV that I had back in the 60s and 70s.

‘I struggle, particularly with documentaries made by the streamers. They are so desperately slow!

It appears that the creators prefer to develop extensive series with numerous episodes, deviating from the typical BBC approach of maintaining a concise and streamlined production.

He remarked: ‘Exceptions do exist, as some streamer documentaries manage to maintain a cohesive structure effectively. However, the majority leave me extremely frustrated.’

‘There is a flabbiness in documentary-making today which is regrettable.’

How I made Maggie’s day – with 22 bottles of rosé

Actor Matthew Goode, who was outstanding in Netflix’s Dept Q, expressed his gratitude for being a significant piece in Dame Maggie Smith’s most cherished day on a film set yet.

The actors from Downton Abbey traveled to Oxford to shoot a wedding scene for the series. Goode shared with Deadline: “Our gathering space for twenty performers was actually the garden of an former Concorde pilot. This might sound rather informal, and it does have a touch of informality…

He brought out a bottle of rosé wine and set it on the table. The other actors noticed it and said something like, “No, we can’t do that.” But I replied, “I’ll have a glass, thank you very much,” so I drank some… and then I asked, “May I have another one?”

He brought a bottle of rosé wine. The other actors didn’t want it there, but I said I would drink some. I had a glass, then asked for another.

In the heat of the moment, it became clear to me and my fellow cast members what we had been overlooking – those who hadn’t had their scenes filmed that day, in particular. As I, Henry Talbot from the series, put it, our filming was essentially a grand ensemble performance.

‘We weren’t occupied with much work that day. As a result, we all began to drink. We finished an astonishing 22 bottles of rosé wine. Nobody was intoxicated, but oh, how jovial we were! If we managed to please Maggie Smith, then our actions must be justified.’

He declared that the day the national treasure was taken from the set had been his most memorable filming experience yet.

He added quickly: ‘I wouldn’t do it again, though. For any future producers listening.’

Calling all intimacy couches…

Danny Dyer comments that the amount of romantic activity in Rivals 2, now being produced, has led them to recruit nearly every intimacy advisor from across Great Britain.

In the series, Dyer, who portrays self-made character Freddie Jones, stated: ‘We’re working on 12 episodes of Rivals and we film until March next year. It’s fantastic, but performing a sex scene is quite an extraordinary task! After all, it’s perfectly legal to kiss someone else – it’s just part of the job! He exclaimed, further adding: ‘It’s fine if you find it appealing, I won’t hide it from you.’

Apart from Freddie, there are many intimacy coaches on Rivals, as stated by Dyer. In fact, it seems they utilized almost every intimacy coach available.
