Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin intentionally shielded their young children from the public eye, hoping to help them have a normal upbringing.
It appears Apple, 21, and Moses, 19, have both decided to pursue careers in Hollywood, despite previous commitments.
With an Oscar-winning actress for a mother and the lead singer of Coldplay as a father, it’s not surprising their children seem destined for similar success.
Gwyneth Paltrow recently sparked controversy by bringing her children to the premiere of her new film, Marty Supreme, effectively using them to draw attention to the event.
While last week she hit another red carpet event with her son in tow.
Gwyneth Paltrow, founder of Goop, has been speaking out against the negative perception of ‘nepo babies’ – children of famous parents. She argues they often face extra pressure and have to work much harder to prove themselves because of their family name.

She explained in 2022 that having connected parents gives children advantages others don’t have, creating an unfair advantage.
Even though you may have gotten the opportunity unfairly, once you’re in, you practically have to work twice as hard and prove yourself twice as much to make up for it.
People are often quick to criticize and question your achievements, suggesting you haven’t earned your place or that you’ve benefited from family connections.
In a separate interview, she explained that there’s a lot of talk about ‘nepo babies’ – children of famous parents – and a tendency to judge them based on their family connections.
‘But there’s nothing wrong with doing or wanting to do what your parents do.’
Gwyneth continued the family tradition of success, following in the footsteps of her mother, acclaimed actress Blythe Danner, 82, and her father Bruce, a director who passed away in 2002.
Yet Gwyneth hasn’t always favoured her children being in the spotlight and in front of a camera.
In 2017, when Jimmy Kimmel asked Gwyneth Paltrow if her children enjoyed the fame that came with her celebrity, she responded that they were generally normal kids and that she and her family were actively working to protect their privacy and keep them out of the spotlight.

Moses, son of the Coldplay frontman, is pursuing a career in music. He’s joined a band called Dancer, a group with three members.
Oh my gosh, he really let us into his world this summer! He was constantly sharing photos from tour on social media – like, a whole bunch at once! It was amazing getting to see what life was like for him while he was traveling with the band. I felt like I was there with him!
He shared photos of himself playing guitar while singing into a microphone, as well as a stylish black and white picture of the band posing against a brick wall.
He captioned the post, ‘music music music music,’ and tagged @dancerdancerdancer.
Meanwhile, Apple has set her sights on the modelling and musical world.
She just released a new music video, following criticism of her first release, which some described as sounding like a poorly performed, off-key karaoke rendition.
Apple has released a music video for the song ‘Satellites,’ a collaboration with the indie rock band Jade Street, which features musicians Eli Meyuhas and Zachary Zwelling.
Coldplay has won seven Grammy Awards and nine Brit Awards, and they’ve sold over 160 million records globally. The lead singer’s mother is also a talented musician, having performed in the films Duets, Country Strong, and Infamous.
Apple Martin has been getting criticism that she’s only succeeding because of her famous parents, especially after she recently collaborated with her mother, Gwyneth Paltrow, on a campaign for GapStudio.
She continued her success by working with the London fashion brand Self-Portrait, appearing in her first photoshoot for them.

Okay, so she did a photoshoot with Ryan McGinley – Ryan McGinley! – on a farm upstate, which is just… perfect. And honestly, people tried to come at her before, saying she got opportunities because of who her family is, but she totally shut them down with this. It’s like, yeah, she’s got a background, but she’s amazing in these photos, and that’s all that matters. I’m obsessed!
Mel Ottenberg styled Apple’s outfit, choosing pieces from the brand’s newest collection. These included a long white lace and satin dress, as well as a silver sequin dress that faded from light to dark.
The model, currently a student at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, had her first photoshoot after becoming a brand ambassador.
It felt natural to start with Self-Portrait – their designs really capture a British vibe that instantly reminded me of my London upbringing, making me feel right at home.
I also love how beautiful and accessible the collections are! Han and the team made me feel included in the creative process, and I’m really enjoying learning from them.
I can’t wait for everyone to see this new project, and I’m thrilled to keep sharing my creative journey with you all.
She described her relationship with her daughter as a special friendship, saying they enjoy doing many of the same things and that her daughter is both hilarious and incredibly bright.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m constantly inspired by women who embrace their individuality. Seeing someone truly come into their own, with a strong sense of self and a unique perspective on the world, is just incredible. It’s so empowering to witness that kind of strength.

She described a beautiful and unique mother-son relationship with Moses, highlighting his thoughtfulness. They connect through music and enjoy having deep, meaningful conversations.
She explained that both her children are passionate about fashion, seeing it as a form of art and self-expression. For her son, she said, style is a way of communicating his identity to the world.
She shared with People magazine that she’s felt fortunate with her teenage children, recalling a particularly challenging year when her son, Apple, was thirteen. She described it as a time of realization and adjustment, saying, ‘Oh wow, okay.’
I actually avoided a lot of typical teenage drama because I’ve always been open and honest with my kids. I also gave them more freedom and responsibility than they expected, and they responded well to that trust.
I told them there’s no need for a curfew as long as they continue to be responsible. They’ve always been good, and I’ve genuinely enjoyed having them as teenagers.
