Digital Spy
Some viewers will be happy with the strong performances from Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, proving they were ideal choices for their roles. However, others might find that Wicked: For Good doesn’t live up to the high standard set by the original film.
The Guardian
The movie continues with the same vibrant, whimsical feel and catchy musical numbers as the first part. We still see the quirky, dreamlike moments where Oz’s important citizens make announcements to the many inhabitants of the city, who feel like background characters in a play.
Variety
This exciting sequel to last year’s popular, but flawed, musical improves the show’s second half, giving Cynthia Erivo more to shine with, and making its message about dishonest leaders even clearer.
HeyUGuys
The ending is truly remarkable and deeply affecting, respectfully building upon the source material with both creativity and elegance. It’s a fantastic musical achievement, featuring exceptional acting, skillful production, and a powerfully emotional heart.

The Times
Wow, I was blown away! The people behind this musical sequel have really outdone themselves. This new movie isn’t just good, it’s actually better than the first one – it’s got so much more energy, is way more ambitious, and honestly, it just hits you right in the feels.
The Independent
The musical For Good feels static, lacking both dynamic action and deep emotional shifts. There are no major discoveries or impressive moments; instead, the characters simply reflect on their experiences through conventional songs.
Wicked: For Good is released in cinemas on 21 November.
The latest issue of Living Legends is now available! You can purchase Ariana & Witches at newsagents or online for only £8.99.
