How Disney parks are celebrating the release of Moana 2

As a long-time Disney enthusiast with years of magical memories etched into my heart, I can confidently say that Moana 2’s arrival is like a sweet lullaby to my inner child! The anticipation has been palpable since the first film, and now, it’s finally time to set sail once more.

This weekend, “Moana 2” from Walt Disney Animation Studios will be in theaters, bringing back our beloved title character after an eight-year absence. Fans have been eagerly awaiting this sequel, so anticipation is running high for its release. The excitement has spilled over into Disney’s theme parks, where you can find numerous celebrations, including character interactions, special food items, and nighttime performances.

This week, it came to light that Moana has had a change in her park attire. Now, when you encounter Moana during meet and greets at Hollywood Land in Disney California Adventure Park or Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana at EPCOT, you’ll notice her fresh look, which takes cues from her character in the upcoming sequel.

At Disney World’s Disney Springs, you’ll encounter a splendid Moana 2-themed tree as part of the Christmas Tree Stroll. For those less familiar, this is a complimentary event showcasing over 60 beautifully adorned Christmas trees. Each tree boasts a unique theme, often inspired by a beloved Disney film.

If you admire the effort put into creating animated films, here’s an opportunity for you! For a short period, at the Animation Academy within Disney California Adventure Park, you can learn to sketch some characters from the movie. You’ll be guided by a professional Disney artist and will get to draw Moana, Maui, Heihei, Pua, and Kotu!

At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you can find The Animation Experience at Conservation Station where a Disney animator guides visitors on how to breathe life into beloved Disney characters.

In conclusion, sticking with domestic attractions, the “World of Color – Season of Light” at Disney California Adventure Park introduces a fresh water show called “Boat Snack,” which is loosely based on the upcoming film, Moana 2.

In the “Boat Snack” production, you’ll get a chance to witness the funny camaraderie between Moana and Maui, accompanied by the tune “We’re Back,” originally from the movie. This show offers a unique blend of animated visuals, synchronized water dancing, mesmerizing laser displays, and stunning light shows.

At the parks, you’ll discover numerous snacks themed around Moana 2. In Disneyland Resort, options include Coconut-Macadamia Pancakes, a Hamburger Steak & Eggs dish with spiced ham, fried rice, eggs, and mushroom gravy, Grilled Shrimp Skewer with sausage and pineapple topped with coconut vinaigrette, and more. Walt Disney World offers a Moana 2 Cake Bar (made from Passion fruit chiffon, pineapple jam, and caramel crispy pearls coated in white chocolate), a Moana Milk Shake (Orange Cream milk shake with whipped cream, seashells, pearls, and a chocolate coin), a Kakamora Chocolate Pinata (filled with coconut ganache treats within a milk chocolate shell), and additional offerings.

Undoubtedly, you’ll find an extensive variety of goods related to “Moana 2”. This collection includes a Moana Ear Headband, a doll that sings like Moana, and a Moana 2 Doll Set featuring Moana, her sister Simea, as well as Pua and Heihei.
