Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs turned 56 while in prison, where he is serving a four-year sentence related to charges of facilitating prostitution by transporting people for that purpose.

The former hip-hop executive, now serving time in prison, turned 56 on Tuesday. His birthday meal at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey, was a far cry from the lavish lifestyle he once enjoyed.

The rapper, known for his wild parties – including a time he ate fruit off a nude woman – received regular meals of bran flakes, green beans, a chickpea burger, and other standard fare, according to People magazine.

Combs was disappointed because the restaurant didn’t have applesauce, which he loves on his cheeseburgers.

Prisoners were served breakfast at 6:30 a.m., which included fruit, and a choice of bran flakes, breakfast cake, or whole wheat bread, along with two packets of jelly.

The meal was accompanied by skim milk, margarine, and sugar-substitute packets. 

Lunch was available between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. and included a choice of chicken parmesan or a chickpea burger, plus a drink.

As a regular at the lunch hall, I always look forward to the pasta with marinara – it’s a solid choice! They serve it with spinach on the side, and you get to pick between garlic or whole wheat bread, which is nice. Plus, you can finish off your meal with either a piece of fruit or a little dessert. It’s a pretty good spread, honestly.

Around 4:30 PM, they’re served a pretty standard meal – their choice of cheese pizza or navy beans, along with some Italian pasta salad, green beans, a garden salad, dressings, and a drink. It’s a simple meal, but it’s good to know they’re getting something nourishing.

In the prison store, you can find a variety of sweet treats like cheesecake squares for $1.07, honey buns for $1.30, and Pop-Tarts for $2.85. Cookies are also available, ranging in price from $1.95 to $2.60.

The rapper even posted a clip of a chef from Nobu preparing sushi for the event’s guests.

The performer shared a video showing him receiving multiple cakes decorated with sparklers that spelled out the word ‘LOVE’.

I was SO relieved to hear he requested the transfer! It makes total sense – he’s always talked about wanting to be closer to his family, and honestly, it’s amazing that the facility also has a program to help people with addiction. It just shows how much they care about him getting truly better, you know? I’m just so happy he’s taking this step.

His earliest release date is scheduled for May 8, 2028, unless any changes are made.

Okay, so the trial… it was insane! Everyone was talking about it. Honestly, when the verdict came in May, I was SO relieved he wasn’t found guilty of those awful trafficking and racketeering charges. Like, a huge weight off my shoulders. But then… they did find him guilty of helping with prostitution, which… ugh. It’s just… complicated. I still support him, of course, but it was a really mixed bag of emotions, you know?

While in prison, Diddy created a six-week educational course called Free Game with Diddy.

This course will equip you with key skills for managing businesses, starting your own venture, and growing personally.

The US Department of Justice’s Federal Bureau of Prisons supports the program, but its future at MDC is uncertain now that Diddy has been moved.
