How Brooklyn Beckham dropped out of photography school in New York after just one year because he was ‘homesick’ and ‘adored’ his parents – amid explosive claims David and Victoria ‘controlled’ him his ‘entire life’

Brooklyn Beckham missed his family so much while studying photography in New York that he decided to leave the course after only a year.

Brooklyn made a startling announcement on Monday, alleging that his parents, David and Victoria, had exerted control over him throughout his life.

But eight years ago he couldn’t bear to be apart from his parents after moving to New York.

In September 2017, Brooklyn, who was 19 at the time, began a four-year program at the Parsons School of Design.

After completing his first year, he put his studies on hold to gain practical experience with a well-known British photographer, returning to live with his family in the process.

According to sources who spoke with The Mirror in 2018, he seemed very homesick and lonely while he was away.

Ultimately, his love for his family was the main reason he decided to return, along with a great internship opportunity.

Victoria was overjoyed by the news and barely able to contain her excitement as everything fell into place. Having Brooklyn return home means the world to her – it’s a dream come true.

After publishing his photography book, “What I See,” the young man dreamed of attending the renowned school located in New York City’s Greenwich Village.

Since his controversial comments, the value of his previously ridiculed book, ‘What I See,’ has dramatically increased, with copies now selling for nearly £300.

The book, which cost £17, was heavily criticized upon its release nine years ago for its blurry photos and simple, almost childish writing. This criticism led Brooklyn to give up on his dream of being a photographer and pursue a career as a chef instead.

As a huge fan, it was really disheartening to see how poorly the book did. After some tough reviews and people calling it just a passion project, it only sold about 3,800 copies between June and October of 2017. It just didn’t get the attention it deserved, and honestly, it broke my heart.

This photo book features around 300 somewhat out-of-focus pictures of the subject, then 18 years old, and his family enjoying both glamorous parties and lavish vacations.

One photo shows only the tips of Brooklyn’s shoes as he dangerously leans over the edge of a sixteen-story building to capture a stunning overhead shot of the city.

He captioned the black and white photo with: ‘Don’t try this at home! My parents were furious when they saw it, but it was a great shot.’

Another shot lamented how difficult elephants were to photograph.

After a major argument with his parents, the book quickly appeared on eBay, with some listings reaching as high as £297.

A seller said of a signed edition: ‘Condition: NEW, opened only to be signed.

Includes a promotional flyer and photos from the event! The book was signed by Brooklyn Beckham, the oldest child of David and Victoria Beckham, on August 2nd, 2017 in Los Angeles. This was a limited-edition signing with only a small number of wristbanded copies available.

Another seller listing the book for £85 excitedly stated: ‘This is a first edition hardcover copy, and it’s signed by the author.’

This 304-page book offers a glimpse into the world of celebrities and various other subjects, making it a standout piece for anyone who loves photography. The included autograph personalizes this special edition, and it’s sure to be a prized possession for fans of the photographer.

The book is out of stock on Amazon but a Kindle version is £8.99.

The conflict between the Beckhams escalated dramatically on Tuesday, starting with a heated outburst from Brooklyn, which led to a flurry of accusations and denials.

The oldest son of David and Victoria Beckham made a startling claim: he alleged his famous parents attempted to pay him to give up his rights to his own name.

On Monday night, the 26-year-old, who hopes to become a professional photographer and food influencer, shared six angry posts on Instagram. He claimed the company tried to force him into an agreement, and after he declined, their relationship changed for the worse.

According to reports in the Daily Mail, Victoria is deeply upset as her relationship with her son has deteriorated significantly, appearing to reach a point of no return.
