In the movie, characters Sebastian Hansen as Henry and Jack Black as Steve make their way to Midport Village. There, Henry notices a swine adorned with a regal crown, reminiscent of Technoblade’s YouTube emblem.

He asks Steve whether the pig is “some of king”, and Steve responds with: “No, that’s a legend.”

According to our 3 out of 5 review in Digital Spy, we pointed out that the tribute to Technoblade is among several instances where the A Minecraft Movie feels like a heartfelt dedication to enthusiasts of the video game.

We additionally commended the cast for grasping the film’s playful atmosphere and effectively portraying it, noting: “The actors demonstrated a clear vision of the movie genre and delivered performances that perfectly matched their characters. Jason Momoa played Garrett, the lovable fool with an infectious energy, while Sebastian Hansen embodied Henry, the heroic figure every child watching would aspire to become, as the adults create chaos around them.

“This extends to the supporting cast too, with Jennifer Coolidge being her usual hilarious self.”

As a die-hard fan, I can’t contain my excitement as Jack Black himself has hinted at a new Jumanji movie on the horizon! He’s even signed up for the adventure. However, if you were hoping for another round of School of Rock, I’m afraid he’s put the brakes on that idea for now.

A Minecraft Movie is out in cinemas now.
