Three new cast members have joined House of the Dragon for season three.
In the finale of the second season for the popular spin-off series based on “Game of Thrones”, character Alicent Hightower, played by Olivia Cooke, consented to support Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) in capturing King’s Landing. This decision involved giving up her own son, Aegon II (Tom Glynn-Carney), which triggered the brutal clash anticipated for season three.
In the lead-up to the impending conflict, actor Tom Cullen, known for his roles in “The Gold” and “Trespasses,” has been cast as Ser Luthor Largent. This character, as portrayed in George RR Martin’s novels, eventually assumes command of the City Watch of King’s Landing.
In this rephrasing, let’s make it more conversational: Actor Joplin Sibtain, known for his work in Andor, will portray Ser “Bold” Jon Roxton, the leader of House Roxton and a knight, while Barry Sloane from Sandman has been cast as Ser Adrian Redfort, a knight belonging to House Redfort who is also part of Rhaenyra’s Queensguard.
In this conflict, known as the Dance of the Dragons, each character held significant importance. This epic struggle occurred after the death of King Viserys I Targaryen (Paddy Considine), when his children, Aegon II and Rhaenyra, fought for their claim to the throne.

In addition to James Norton, who was earlier announced as Ormund Hightower, we now have Tommy Flanagan playing Lord Roderick Dustin and Dan Fogler taking on the role of Ser Torrhen Manderly.
Delighted to share that I’m back for season three alongside some fantastic friends! Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, Steve Toussaint, Rhys Ifans, Fabien Frankel, and Ewan Mitchell are all returning to our show. Can’t wait to see what adventures lie ahead!
Besides these recognizable individuals, you’ll also see Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, Matthew Needham, Tom Bennett, Kieran Bew, Kurt Egyiawan, Freddie Fox, Clinton Liberty, Gayle Rankin, and Abubakar Salim on the guest list.

I’m thrilled to share that the production of the next chapter, our much-anticipated third season, is underway! D’Arcy broke the fantastic news via a video posted on their social media account.
In this shot, they can be observed brandishing a clapperboard as they don their Rhaenyra Targaryen attire, announcing: “We’re resuming production for ‘House of the Dragon’. Today marks the start of season three.
The show has also been renewed for a fourth season, which will officially conclude the series.
The first eight seasons of the television series known as “Game of Thrones” can be purchased on DVD or Blu-ray. Meanwhile, the prequel series titled “House of the Dragon” is currently airing on HBO and Max in the United States, and on Sky Atlantic and NOW in the UK.
