The highly anticipated third season of House of the Dragon is getting fans excited with a new trailer. It offers a first glimpse of James Norton as Lord Ormund Hightower, a character previously announced to join the cast.
The first trailer for the Game of Thrones prequel series has revealed footage of the Dance of the Dragons – the large-scale Targaryen conflict originally intended for season two but now featured in the new series.
The scene begins with Rhaenyra Targaryen anticipating Alicent Hightower will give up. But Rhaenyra’s son, Jacaerys, cautions her not to trust the queen, while Daemon observes the situation.

Aemond, Alicent’s son, is upset with his mother’s potential truce. When he confronts her, Alicent warns him about the dangers they’ll face if Rhaenyra sends her dragon against them.
“It will be the end,” she proclaims.

Both the Greens and Blacks are facing difficulties. Daemon recognizes this pivotal moment as Rhaenyra’s chance to take the throne, but her emotional reaction suggests any triumph will be bittersweet and come with significant sacrifices.
Norton made a quick appearance in the latest trailer as Ormund, who is related to both Otto Hightower and Alicent. Dressed in full armor, his character is shown leading troops while a voiceover hints at the rise of a new generation of powerful rulers.
