As a dedicated gamer and avid fan of House of the Dragon, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming episode, despite the emotional turmoil left behind by the previous one. In this clash, Princess Rhaenys Targaryen confronted Ser Criston Cole and the Kingsguard, but unfortunately, she and her dragon Meleys met their end when Prince Aemond intervened with his own dragon Vhagar. Amidst the chaos, King Aegon was unintentionally engulfed in flames from the fight and intentionally burned by his brother, while flying his dragon Sunfyre into battle in a drunken state. Although it seems that Sunfyre did not make it through the fall, there are indications that Aegon may have survived his injuries.

House of the Dragon season 2 episode 5 will be airing on HBO tonight, Sunday July 14 2024, at 9:00 p.m. ET on the East Coast, and 6:00 p.m. PT on the West Coast. Viewers watching on Central Time can tune in at 8:00 p.m. CT, and those on Mountain Time can watch at 7:00 p.m. MT. Simultaneously, it will stream on Max in those areas (and other areas with the streaming service around the world). As always, UK broadcaster Sky will have a simulcast at 2:00 a.m. BST, airing the episode on Sky Atlantic.
