Hotel employee accused of selling drugs to Liam Payne reportedly surrenders to police
A hotel employee, under suspicion for providing Liam Payne with illegal substances prior to his demise, is said to have surrendered to Argentine authorities.
Approximately three months following the tragic fall of the former One Direction member in Buenos Aires, a 21-year-old hotel employee named Ezequiel Pereyra is reported to have handed himself over to the police on Monday evening. This action was facilitated by his legal representative, as confirmed by prosecutors to TMZ. The authorities investigating Payne’s death in October are alleging that Pereyra was among two individuals who provided the singer with cocaine on numerous occasions during his stay at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel.
On October 16, Payne met his untimely end after falling from a hotel balcony. At the time of his demise, he was 31 years old. A preliminary postmortem examination suggested that Payne succumbed to numerous injuries and bleeding, both inside and outside his body, as a result of the fall.

Liam Payne’s manager is among the trio who have been indicted for manslaughter, as part of the ongoing probe into the One Direction member’s passing in October.
In November, it was revealed that at the time of his fatal fall, Payne’s body tested positive for traces of alcohol, cocaine, and a prescribed antidepressant.
Last week, news emerged that Pereyra has surrendered himself. This announcement followed a statement from Argentina’s National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office in Spanish, which revealed that Judge Laura Bruniard was investigating five individuals for their suspected role in Payne’s demise. According to authorities, an employee of the hotel (previously known as “E.D.P.”) and a representative of Payne (formerly called “R.L.N.”) are among these suspects.
At the end of December, a hotel employee named “E.D.P.” and a restaurant waiter known as “B.N.P.” were indicted for providing drugs to Payne. Prosecutors claim that Pereyra handed over cocaine to Payne on October 15 at 3:25 am, and between 3:30 pm and 4:00 pm on the day of his death, October 16. Authorities suggest Payne used the cocaine during his hotel stay. The former contestant on “The X Factor” passed away two weeks after arriving in Argentina for Niall Horan’s concert on October 2, his ex-bandmate from One Direction.

‘The substance known as ‘Pink Cocaine,’ which was allegedly detected in Liam Payne’s system during his passing, is typically laced with substances like Ketamine, MDMA, and Methamphetamine instead of cocaine itself.’
Pereyra and a waiter accused of giving cocaine to Payne have been placed under pre-trial custody. In contrast, Payne’s attorney and two hotel managers, who are also charged with manslaughter, were not ordered into pre-trial detention, according to statements made by prosecutors in December.
According to La Nacion, it’s said that Pereyra handed himself over to authorities soon after they apprehended the waiter. Earlier, police allegedly searched Pereyra’s residence before he surrendered, but couldn’t find him there at the time.
Payne was buried in November at a private funeral held northwest of London. Close friends and family, including his former bandmates from One Direction – Horan, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson – were present for the emotional service. A day after Payne’s passing, One Direction shared a message on social media expressing their remembrance of the “Teardrops” artist.
“The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever,” the band said.
