Hot Wheels & Ferrari Reignite Iconic Partnership with Exciting New Die-Cast Car Collection

The iconic partnership between Hot Wheels and Ferrari is set to resume after an absence of ten years, as Mattel, Inc. announced this exciting news at the 2025 Nuremberg International Toy Fair. This collaboration promises to introduce a fresh collection of die-cast Ferrari classics and the newest models, featuring renowned racing and road cars.

Last week, Hot Wheels unveiled their stunning 3D renders of the upcoming die-cast Formula 1 lineup, and I must say, the absence of Ferrari was quite conspicuous. However, it appears that Mattel Inc. had a masterful plan all along! They’ve been holding onto the grand reveal for an epic moment we wouldn’t forget.

Hot Wheels to Launch Exciting New Die-Cast Ferrari Collection

At the 2025 Nuremberg Toy Fair, Mattel Inc. officially announced a renewed alliance with luxury Italian car manufacturer Ferrari. This partnership is set to launch a thrilling series of new die-cast models featuring the famous Prancing Horse logo, due for release this coming spring.

In the partnership, Mattel announced that the fresh product series will extend the existing die-cast line and offer limited edition versions exclusively through Mattel Creations, as well as RC vehicles and 1:64 scale die-casts available wherever Hot Wheels are internationally stocked. This expansion aims to present a diverse array of iconic Ferrari models from the past and the latest, cutting-edge creations featuring both racing and road cars.

In reference to this extraordinary collaboration, Roberto Stanichi, executive vice president of Hot Wheels, viewed it as a particularly significant and enthusiastic undertaking that would excite both his team and collectors.

It was a passion project for the Hot Wheels team to deliver authentic visions of these iconic Ferrari models for the next generation of car lovers to enjoy while, at the same time, creating something extra special for collectors to appreciate.

Roberto Stanichi.

Excited for the launch, he further continued by revealing:

We look forward to seeing the world’s reaction to our vision for some of the most beautiful rolling works of art in automotive history, crafted by our team of design experts that can do it better than anyone else can.

Roberto Stanichi.

Mattel announces that it plans to release its first item this coming spring season, with pre-orders for these initial designs accessible directly through their official online platform.

A Decade-Long Wait for an Iconic Comeback

Iconic brands like Hot Wheels and Ferrari share a noble history of partnership that spans several decades. Ever since its debut in 1968, the die-cast titan has produced 26 different Ferrari models, several of which have gained great popularity among collectors.

Due to the end of their licensing agreement with Ferrari in 2014, Hot Wheels stopped manufacturing Ferrari models. Now, Ferrari has teamed up solely with Maisto and Bburago for their model production instead.

Despite the long wait, this historic reunion signifies a fresh start that has been patiently anticipated for a full decade, rekindling the enthusiasm and nostalgia among die-hard supporters of both brands. This revival is expected to draw in a new, youthful demographic into the Hot Wheels sphere, enamored with Ferrari.

For people excited to acquire these collectibles, the spring debut will unveil the collaboration that will grow throughout 2025 and beyond.
