‘Hot’ Purple Wiggle John Pearce and wife Jessie Adamo called out by fans for ‘terrifying’ act in unborn child’s nursery

As a seasoned observer of the world of entertainment, I must say that John and Jessie’s journey is nothing short of heartwarming. Having spent years in the limelight myself, I can truly appreciate the joy and anticipation they are experiencing as they prepare to welcome their first child into the world.

John Pearce, a member of the popular group The Wiggles, along with his heavily pregnant wife Jessie Adamo, received criticism after they posted about setting up their baby-to-be’s nursery.

Sharing a video of a challenging job on Instagram, the popular Purple Wiggle, aged 33, endeavored to create a touching nursery unveiling following some hard work arranging and constructing furniture.

But as the stunning room was unveiled, some critics could only focus on one ‘terrifying’ detail—John and Jessie’s cat Bally was sleeping in their baby’s cot.

In the video, you could see a member of Justice Crew diligently working throughout the day, arranging all the nursery furniture and carefully stowing essential items in their designated drawers.

At a certain moment, he took off his shirt to display his well-toned body while joking about the large quantity of cardboard he needed to get rid of.

John captioned the video with: ‘Dear baby, while mum is building you, Daddy is building the nursery and disposing of all the cardboard.’

The video concluded with John and Jesse, along with their long-haired cat named Bally, being found resting on an empty crib that was meant for a newborn, as the children’s entertainer affectionately petted the cat.

One person began the barrage of unsolicited criticism with: ‘Hey John, please keep the cat out of the cot or where the newborn will lay as cat fur can cause allergies in babies.’

‘I hate to be that person but I have to say it. If your cat is comfortable in the crib before baby comes home don’t be surprised if they climb in there when baby transitions from bassinet. I’ve heard accidental smothering stories which is terrifying,’ another added.

One individual remarked, “Cats are fond of the scent of infants, so exercise caution. On my mom’s christening day, our cat was discovered in the bassinet with the baby – luckily not on top of her, but rather nearby!

A user suggested, “They’re not expressing dislike but rather offering advice when they tell you not to let your cat sit in the crib because the cat might perceive it as acceptable, and at some point, a baby could be inside. Instead, try to keep Bally from going in.

In my experience, I would always advise being mindful around pets, especially with young children. For instance, my aunt once discovered our family cat perched on my baby cousin’s face – a situation that could have ended quite differently! So remember, keep an eye on your furry friends when they’re near the little ones.

As a fervent admirer, I couldn’t help but notice the uproar over the expectant parents, with some criticizing them for letting their cat rest in the crib. However, it was heartening to see others quickly leap to their defense, vocally denouncing those very individuals who found fault in such a harmless, affectionate gesture.

One individual commented on the abundance of unwanted parenting tips from various professionals, while another casually expressed their affection for the picture featuring the cat in the cradle, saying: ‘Aww! It’s adorable to see the kitten in the crib.’

A third took a more direct approach, writing: ‘Omg can everyone stop about their cat.

It’s recommended that you let your cats become familiar with the new furniture prior to the arrival of the baby, so it won’t seem like an entirely foreign object to them since they’ve had a chance to get accustomed to it beforehand.

However, it’s also reasonable to assume that they will wash items the cat has been on due to hygiene reasons. People should be allowed to manage their homes as they see fit.

In 2019, John and his wife, Jessie, shared joyous news on Instagram, revealing that they were going to have their first baby, which they announced back in June.

The announcement showcased a heartwarming video of the poignant instance when they learned Jessie was carrying a child, and they revealed that they’re expecting a baby boy.

They titled the post, ‘After a lengthy voyage, our cherished little one has now arrived.’

‘We are so full of joy and can’t wait to meet you – baby Adamo Pearce due Dec 2024.’

Ever since, they’ve been consistently posting about their baby experience on social media platforms. Starting from the first ultrasound, moving through the baby shower, and most recently, a relaxing ‘babymoon’ in beautiful Fiji last month.

In the year 2012, John and Jessie began a romantic relationship; this was exactly two years after John’s dance-pop band, Justice Crew, gained popularity following their victory in Australia’s Got Talent competition.

In October 2019, they exchanged vows during a private ceremony, marking five years together for them which will be celebrated towards the end of this year.

The children’s entertainer then picked up his purple skivvy and joined The Wiggles in 2021.
