Horror rom-com Heart Eyes will be released in theaters in February 2025

As a seasoned horror aficionado with years of chilling encounters under my belt, I must admit that the news about “Heart Eyes” has sent a shiver down my spine. With a stellar cast and an intriguing premise, this Valentine’s Day slasher is shaping up to be a heart-stopping experience!

As a thrilled horror enthusiast myself, I can’t help but share some exciting news about the upcoming Spyglass horror rom-com, “Heart Eyes.” Although it won’t grace our screens this year due to its recent completion in New Zealand (July 2023), it’s currently undergoing post-production. But fear not, Sony Pictures has confirmed that we can catch the movie in theaters early next year – specifically on Feb. 7, 2025! So, mark your calendars and get ready for a heart-pounding experience!

The movie titled “Heart Eyes” is characterized as a chilling thriller set during Valentine’s Day. Josh Ruben, known for directing “Werewolves Within” and “Scare Me”, helms this film from a screenplay jointly penned by Phillip Murphy (of “Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard”), Christopher Landon (“Happy Death Day”, “Freaky”), and Michael Kennedy (“Freaky”, “It’s a Wonderful Knife”).

Set in Seattle, Washington, the movie “Heart Eyes” centers around two workmates who are putting in extra hours at their job on Valentine’s Day. However, their routine day takes an unexpected twist when a notorious serial killer known as the “Heart Eyes Killer,” who targets couples, appears at their workplace and mistakes them for a romantic pair. Now marked as his next victims, these co-workers must come up with a plan to evade the killer and survive until they can escape.

In this upcoming horror movie, Mason Gooding (“Scream VI”, “Fall”), Olivia Holt (“Totally Killer”, “Cruel Summer”), Devon Sawa (“Final Destination”, “Chucky”), Jordana Brewster (“Fast X”, “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning”), and Gigi Zumbado (“Hightown”, “Bridge and Tunnel”) are all featured. However, the specific characters they will be playing have not been disclosed yet.

In this movie production, Landon, Greg Gilreath, and Adam Hendricks serve as the producers, while Murphy, Kennedy, Mel Turner, along with Gary Barber and Chris Stone from Spyglass have taken up the role of executive producers.

The trailer hasn’t been unveiled yet, as we anticipate its release sometime towards the end of this year or possibly the beginning of next year. Fear not, we’ll be sure to update you promptly once it becomes available.
