Horrifying moment Denise Richards’ ex Aaron Phypers threatens to ‘crush’ her hand resurfaces amid abuse claims

A past instance when Aaron Phypers, now Denise Richards‘ ex, allegedly threatened to squeeze her hand tightly, has reemerged following her claims of physical abuse she made this week.

This month, Phypers, who is 52, initiated a divorce proceeding, citing July 4 as the marked day their marital union ended, following six years together.

In this separation, the documents mention ‘insurmountable disagreements’ as the cause, and he is petitioning the court for alimony from Richards (aged 54).

Recently unveiled court records, encompassing distressing images, have been made available to DailyMail.com, detailing that on the 16th of July, Denise initiated a protection order. This action was prompted by her claims that Phypers inflicted appalling abuse throughout their relationship.

2020 saw an uncomfortable situation unfold before the cameras of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, as Phipps was filmed making threats towards Richards after a dispute with her fellow cast members Kyle Richards and Teddi Mellencamp.

In the tense Season 10 episode, Richard cautioned their companion not to utter a single word as they strolled away, linked arm-in-arm, after their disagreement.

Phypers responded: ‘Don’t tell me what to say. I’m going to crush your f*****g hand. Stop it.’

Following the broadcast, Richards, Mellencamp, and Erika Jayne expressed their reactions on Twitter regarding Aaron’s astonishing remarks.

Hold up! Did I hear him correctly?”, Jayne posted to her 474,300 followers, a message that both Richards and Mellencamp echoed on their respective accounts as well.

To make her tweet clearer, Jayne shared a video with a caption from Phypers where he stated he intended to “break” Denise’s hand.

At Richard’s barbecue, Richard felt targeted or criticized because she didn’t bring her kids, Sami, Lola, and Eloise, along to the gathering.

However, she had previously expressed to her fellow performers that she found it uncomfortable when they shared provocative anecdotes in close proximity to her daughters, and she was dismayed when they used her past roles in sensual films as justification for their behavior.

At the barbecue, Phypers attempted to vouch for Denise among the ladies, however, everything he uttered seemed insensitive and only served to intensify the situation.

After several months had passed since the broadcast, Richards spoke about the heated argument that took place on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills with Andy Cohen.

The duo talked about what happened immediately following when Cohen informed her that there were many queries about it.

The host inquired, “Denise, could you explain what happened there? It seems like he mentioned that he intended to squeeze your hand tightly.

Richards confirmed: ‘Yeah, he was going to crush my hand.’ 

‘I performed the action without prior knowledge, as neither of us recalled me doing so. Afterward, I showed it to him and he expressed confusion, saying something like “I can’t recall making such a statement. I don’t understand why I would have said that, because I’m fearful of you.”‘

Andy then questioned why Phypers would be ‘afraid’ of her. 

‘No, it’s in a joking way,’ she said while breaking a smile.

Regardless of her efforts to quell the criticism following Phypers’ remark, her fellow cast members expressed their dissent.

‘Zero tolerance,’ Sutton Stracke said. ‘Zero. Unacceptable.’

Garcelle Beauvais expressed: “I didn’t catch it during the broadcast, but I saw it on social platforms which made me exclaim, ‘Oh my goodness!’ And, naturally, I became concerned.

In the course of our relationship, Aaron often choked me harshly, squeezed my head forcefully with both hands, tightly gripped my arms, slapped me violently on my face and head, aggressively slammed my head into the bathroom towel rack, threatened to take my life, pinned me down using his knee on my back until I had to beg him to get off me so he wouldn’t kill me, and hacked into my laptop and phone to download all my messages, as detailed in Denise’s application for a Domestic Violence Retraining Order.

DailyMail.com has yet to receive a reply from representatives for both Richards and Phypers regarding our inquiry.

Additionally, she claimed that Aaron frequently made threats like, “I’ll break your jaw,” but none of the incidents he mentioned, such as crying, pleading for her to stay, and vowing to seek help, ever materialized.

She asserted that Aaron is responsible for at least three instances where she sustained concussions. Additionally, she stated that Aaron admitted to setting up recording devices in hotel rooms and her townhouses when she was alone.

In her account of the July 4 incident, Denise stated that Aaron repeatedly moved very close to her face, shouting offensive language, which included referring to her as a ‘vulgar slut’ and a ‘worthless piece of trash.’

The next day, she claimed that ‘Aaron entered her townhouse accompanied by his father. He approached me very closely and started shouting at me, repeatedly calling me a derogatory term for a woman and striking the brim of my hat forcefully with the back of his hand, causing it to fall off.’

Richards added that ‘Aaron repeatedly grabbed my left arm tightly.’

In the submission, Denise included various photos as proof – among them, two clearly depicting her with a serious black eye, its shade a dark purple and it noticeably swollen.

In her message dated January 17, 2022, at around 7:30 PM, Denise mentioned an event that took place after working hours at Aaron’s Malibu workplace. She was there along with a female relative of Aaron’s. Aaron became anxious when he brought in several potted plants to the center and thought they might have hidden listening devices.

In a parking area frequently utilized by police officers for tasks like filling out paperwork or using the restroom, an officer overheard shouting and approached the door. Following the officer’s departure, Aaron continued yelling and struck me forcefully in the eye with the heel of his palm while hurling the insult “fing bitch.

As an overly enthusiastic admirer, I was there and saw the unfortunate incident unfold firsthand. In a swift instant, a family member sprang into action by grabbing some frozen goods to help alleviate the swelling. So far, Phypers has not publicly responded to the abuse claims.
