Horrifying bodycam shows Nip/Tuck star’s brutal car crash as his wife drifts in and out of consciousness

Bodycam footage from last month’s car crash shows “Nip/Tuck” actor Dylan Walsh looking disoriented, while his wife, Leslie Bourque-Walsh, was in and out of consciousness and clearly distressed.

On August 17th, police responded to a crash in Rumson, New Jersey, where the 61-year-old actor had driven his 2022 Ford Explorer into two utility poles.

At the scene, Walsh told police he was returning from a bar and had been drinking. He wasn’t arrested, and he agreed to a blood test, which confirmed his alcohol level was below the legal limit.

Walsh’s rep later claimed that he had suffered a medical emergency behind the wheel.

Newly released video from the Daily Mail shows Walsh appearing disoriented immediately after the crash. His wife, Leslie, was visibly shaken and cried out while sitting in the roadway.

‘You were driving the car, sir? What happened?’ the first cop on the scene asked Walsh.

“I really don’t know what happened,” he said. “We were driving back from the beach with a bunch of people in the car. I glanced down for a moment, and then… well, the next thing I remember, everything had changed.”

Someone asked Walsh if he’d had anything to drink, and honestly, he was pretty straightforward. He admitted he’d just come from a bar, but explained they’d all been out in the sun all day, so he wasn’t sure if that was affecting things. It felt like a pretty honest answer, all things considered.

It was really upsetting to witness, but thankfully, a police officer and a kind bystander helped Leslie get safely across the street. She was clearly in a lot of chest pain and was crying out, and they were quick to assist her.

As she was placed down on the sidewalk, she then appeared to faint.

“Leslie, please look at me,” the officer pleaded, while someone else urged her to come with them.

‘She’s going in and out, she’s probably in shock,’ the officer then offered.

According to the police report, officers arrived at the corner of East River Road and Blackpoint Road at approximately 5:05 PM. They found a black Ford Explorer that had sustained major damage and was stuck against a utility pole.

According to police, the vehicle initially hit a utility pole, breaking it in half and leaving it suspended by its wires.

Police identified the actor’s wife, Leslie, as being at the location and reported she was yelling about chest pain.

Another adult woman and two juveniles were also in the vehicle when it crashed, police said.

The police report states that officers found a cooler bag containing cans of hard seltzer, some of which had already been opened.

A manager at the River Pointe Inn restaurant contacted the police and mentioned they knew Dylan and Leslie.

According to police, Walsh stated he was driving back from a trip to Sandy Hook beach in New Jersey, which is located about seven miles away.

According to the report, Walsh told officers he’d been drinking at the Mule Barn Tavern before the crash.

His appearance at the scene was described by police as ‘very red’ and ‘very confused.’

I heard from the police report that people saw the car driving all over the road, heading right toward cars coming the other way, before it finally hit those utility poles. It was a scary situation, apparently.

Walsh received six citations, including having an open container of alcohol, driving recklessly, and driving on the sidewalk.

Walsh is a father of five children: Hudson, 12, Amelie, 13, Stella, 21, Joanna, 27, and Thomas, 29.

He has two older children with his former wife, Melora Walters. They were married from 1996 to 2003.

The actor has a daughter named Stella with his former wife, Joanna Going. They were married for eight years and divorced in 2012.

In 2022, Walsh married Leslie Bourque, and they have two children together: a daughter named Amelia and a son named Hudson.

Following the accident, Walsh’s rep revealed that he was at home recovering.

In a statement released on August 20, they said: ‘Everyone is safe and has since returned home.’

Walsh and his family expressed their sincere gratitude for the quick help they received from the Rumson Police, Fire Department, and EMS, and also thanked the staff at Riverview Medical Center for their excellent care.

Oh my gosh, they even gave a shout-out to the people at The River Point Inn! Apparently, the staff there were *amazing* right after everything happened, and they wanted to make sure everyone knew how grateful they were for their help. It just proves what incredible people surround them, doesn’t it? I’m seriously getting emotional thinking about it!

Walsh played Dr. Sean McNamara on 100 episodes of the FX series Nip/Tuck from 2003-2010.

He’s appeared in multiple episodes of popular TV series, including Blue Bloods, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Superman & Lois, and Life Sentence.

Walsh has appeared in films such as We Were Soldiers, Alter Ego, Deadly Switch and Betsy’s Wedding.
