Hoopa Unbound returning in a Pokémon GO Raid Day
A second chance to get your hands on Hoopa Unbound in Pokémon GO.
After an extended absence from Pokémon GO, Hoopa Unbound is making its comeback! It’s been two years since we last saw it during the contentious Elite Raid event in 2022. As a result, for many trainers, both new and experienced, this Raid Day will mark their first-ever encounter with Hoopa Unbound.
During the Raid Day event, even though Hoopa Unbound can’t have a shimmering shine, it’s still an impressively potent attacker in the Psychic category, making it absolutely worthwhile to gather it throughout this special event.

Hoopa Unbound Pokémon GO Raid Day
Hoopa Unbound Raid Day takes place from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m on Saturday, Feb. 15.
Event Bonuses
The following bonuses will be in effect during the Raid Day.
- Hoopa Unbound will appear more frequently in five-star raids.
- Receive up to five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs (for a total of seven).
- The Remote Raid Pass limit will increase to 20 from Friday, February 14, at 5:00 p.m. PST to Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. PST.
Event Ticket
Similar to many Raid Day occasions, a Hoopa Unbound Raid Day Event Pass will be available for purchase. This ticket costs $5 and offers these additional benefits:
1. A boost in catch rate during the event.
2. An increased chance of encountering Shiny Hoopa.
3. Special items such as Raid Passes, Premier Balls, and Lucky Eggs to aid you in your raids.
- Eight additional Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs (for a daily total of 15)
- Increased chance to get Rare Candy XL from Raid Battles
- 50% more XP from Raid Battles
- 2× Stardust from Raid Battles
This ticket offers good value if you intend to participate in numerous Raids, as it includes eight extra Raid Passes. The cost for these passes alone would exceed $5. Added benefits like extra Experience Points (XP), Stardust, and the highly valuable Rare Candy XL make this a wise investment. However, if your Raiding plans are limited to just a couple of sessions, it might not be a cost-effective choice for you.
