Honor of Kings Ziya new hero leaks: Release date, skills, and more

In preparation for launch, Honor of Kings (HoK) introduces its 91st character, a mage named Ziya. This new hero can excel either in the mid lane or roamer position. While official details about Ziya are yet to come from HoK’s developers, here’s some sneak peek information that has leaked!

Ziya release date

Initially known under a different title, “Jiang Ziya,” within King of Glory (the Chinese equivalent of HoK), it’s been speculated that this character will make its global debut on August 20th. It is said that he will be the first and possibly only hero launched in August.

Ziya is a distinctive character who offers aid to his teammates. Here are the potential skills, leaked through YouTuber Shadow HOK from the King of Glory test server in February 2024. Keep in mind that when this hero officially debuts on HoK on Aug. 20, the actual skill names and descriptions may differ.

Passive: Sanctification

As a long-time gamer, I’ve seen countless characters with unique abilities and progression systems. However, Ziya stands out to me as one of the most intriguing. His design combines damage output with strategic level-up mechanics that cater to both casual and hardcore players.

Sanctifying a team member awards them with 1,200 EXP and temporarily surpasses their experience level limit. Additionally, there’s a possibility they might receive EXP orbs, which can hasten an ally’s leveling progress.

Skill 1: Divine Seal

As a seasoned adventurer who has faced countless battles against formidable foes, I can confidently say that this enchantment is nothing short of extraordinary. Its magic damage, delivered swiftly every 0.4 seconds, leaves no time for respite, making it an invaluable asset in the heat of combat. The cumulative effect on enemies is truly devastating: not only do they suffer a gradual loss of movement speed and defenses, but they also find themselves slowed to a crawl and rendered less effective in battle.

Skill 2: Divine Punishment

As a gamer, I unleash a powerful spell that whacks surrounding foes with three heavy strikes. A tad later, my magical circle detonates, dishing out damage and flinging enemies high into the air for a good 0.75 seconds.

Ultimate: Universal Law

As a seasoned gamer with years of battlefield experience under my belt, I find Ziya’s abilities to be both intriguing and formidable. Her Sanctification Power, which charges divine energy in a targeted direction and unleashes three shockwaves, is an impressive display of offensive prowess. The final shockwave deals the most damage, making it a potent finishing blow in intense encounters.

How to obtain Ziya in HoK

In the store, Ziya will be up for sale at two different price points – 18,888 Starstones or 13,888 Starstones. You also have the option to purchase this hero using Tokens or Limited-Time Tokens; however, it’s advisable to go for Starstones as they are more readily available compared to the other currencies.
