I’m so excited about Umbrosa, the newest hero in Honor of Kings! She’s a really flexible fighter, and I’ve already noticed she’s amazing in those long team battles because she can constantly poke at enemies while staying healthy. But the coolest part? Her ultimate lets her actually revive after being defeated, which is a game-changer! Honestly, if you learn how to play her right, Umbrosa can totally take over the whole battlefield.
This guide to Honor of Kings’ Umbrosa will show you the best Arcana build, recommended spells, and key gameplay strategies to help you maximize her potential in the Gorge.
Skill Analysis of Umbrosa
Passive Skill: Whirling Featherblades
When Umbra attacks from afar, her basic attacks launch a blade that flies back to her. She can strike the returning blade to send it flying back towards the enemy, and each time it bounces, it deals extra damage.
Okay, so when I’m up close to enemies, my character automatically goes into a Melee mode where I attack way faster. Plus, every basic attack I land tags the enemy. If they’re tagged, my second ability does a ton of extra damage – it’s a great combo!
First Skill: Feverish Dance
She attacks the area around her, hurting and slowing down enemies nearby. After that, she enters a Frenzied state, significantly increasing how fast she moves and attacks.
Second Skill: Feathered Tempest
- Passive: Upgrading this skill increases Umbrosa’s Skill 2 and melee Basic attack damage.
- Active: Dashes forward, damaging and knocking back enemies in her path. This skill also triggers Featherblade marks and spreads them to nearby enemies. Then, throws rebounding blades at enemies in front, dealing damage and recovering Heath. Each hit consumes 1 stack to deal extra physical damage.
Third Skill: Final Frenzy
- Passive: Upgrading this skill increases Umbrosa’s Skill 2 and melee Basic attack damage.
- Active: Umbrosa damages nearby enemies and gains bonus Movement Speed. Umbrosa also enters the Indomitable State for 4 seconds, gaining temporary HP. If she is defeated while this skill is not on cooldown, she resurrects after a short delay, damaging nearby enemies. The skill will then enter cooldown. Do also note that Indomitable State ends immediately when Umbrosa loses her temporary HP.
Skill Level-Up Method for Umbrosa
- Skill 1: Unlock and upgrade this skill accordingly.
- Skill 2: Prioritize upgrading this ability due to the burst damage and Regen it grants.
- Skill 3: Prioritize upgrading whenever available for its attack damage buff.

Honor of Kings Umbrosa Guide: Gameplay Tips
Early Game
Okay, so I’ve been playing Umbrosa, and she’s awesome in either the Jungle or the Clash lane. She’s just really good at staying alive and dealing damage. The key is to unlock and use her first ability to clear out those minion waves or jungle creeps super fast. I’ve found it works best to poke enemies with her ranged attacks first, then switch to her melee form and really go to town! It’s a great way to deal a ton of damage.

When fighting opponents early on, begin by using your first skill to damage them and speed up your attacks. Then, continue attacking with your regular attacks to add extra damage while applying a mark. Finally, use your second skill on these marked enemies to deal even more damage during the fight.
Prioritize farming effectively and subtly disrupting your opponents to take control of early objectives in the lane and jungle. In the beginning of the game, try to gain an advantage by being strategically aggressive, but don’t push too far and risk getting caught out.
Mid Game
As a player, I’ve noticed that Umbrosa really starts to shine in the mid-game. She’s especially dangerous against heroes who can’t easily escape or those who are easily killed. Her first ability lets her chase down enemies really well, and her second ability is great for marking targets – it does a lot of damage and keeps her healthy during fights and when she’s trying to surprise people in the jungle or team battles.
Umbrosa excels at quickly eliminating vulnerable enemies, such as marksmen and mages, but it’s important to consistently tag them with your regular attacks before starting a fight. Save Umbrosa’s Ultimate for major team fights or when taking on towers, as it provides valuable protection and prevents her from dying while it’s being used.
Use your ultimate ability’s increased attack speed to quickly damage enemies, combining it with your other skills for powerful combos. Also, focus on moving between lanes to assist your teammates in surprise attacks and to help take important targets and objectives.
Late Game
Umbrosa excels as a fighter who consistently deals damage, especially in team battles. When fighting as a team, prioritize targeting and quickly defeating vulnerable, slow-moving enemies in the back row. Work with your roaming teammate to set up successful ambushes and give your team an advantage in key fights.

Umbrosa is best at staying alive when players time their abilities well and skillfully win fights. Sometimes, it’s better to let yourself be defeated temporarily so your ultimate can revive you, rather than using your ultimate right away. Focus on helping your team take important objectives like Overlord or Tyrant, which will give you a significant advantage as the game goes on.
Umbrosa can become a strong hero in the late game if played well, consistently dealing damage and staying alive in fights. Here’s a skill combination to help you succeed during that phase:
Skill 1→ Basic Attacks→ Skill 2 → Basic Attacks→ Ultimate
| Heroes Fatih Counters | Heroes that Counter Fatih |
|---|---|
| Hou Yi | Prince of Lanling |
| Luban No. 7 | Loong |
| Angela | Lu Bu |
Final Thoughts
Umbrosa is an aggressive fighter who excels at pressuring opponents by seamlessly switching between long-range and close-combat attacks. If you build her correctly with powerful abilities and good positioning, she can quickly take control of the game and become a major threat even in the late stages.
This Umbrosa guide will help you improve your gameplay in Honor of Kings, giving you a better chance to win matches and lead your team to victory.
