Honor of Kings to rebrand and roll out its most game-changing update yet

As an ardent fan, I’m thrilled about the imminent upgrade for Honor of Kings Plus! It brings a fresh character, Flowborn, into the fray, reshapes our battlefields, revises the Honor Pass system, and offers much more to explore!

The game “Honor of Kings” is planning a rebrand and has announced a significant upgrade coming up. Starting from June 24, 2025, the game will be known as “Honor of Kings Plus,” which brings numerous improvements suggested by the player community and exciting events for everyone to enjoy.

In this exciting update, I’m thrilled about the overhaul of the Honor Pass! A fantastic new element is the ability to create a unique avatar called Flowborn, which isn’t just a static character but a playable one! It comes with an intriguing adaptive combat system that will be gradually introduced, making gameplay even more engaging and personalized.

All you need to know about the HoK Plus update

Be your own hero with Flowborn

In the latest update for “The Honor of Kings Plus,” a fresh character named Flowborn will be introduced. This character serves as your personal avatar, allowing for limitless customization to suit your preferences. This innovative idea goes beyond conventional MOBA hero designs.

• Fully Customizable Appearance – Choose your look, skin tone, outfit, and more.
• 2D Poster Creator – Design and share your own profile with stickers, backgrounds, and nameplates.
• Dynamic Combat Adaptation – Versatile weapons and abilities adjust fluidly to multiple lanes.

You can customize HoK’s Flowborn according to your preferred gameplay style. Over the coming days, we will introduce different roles for Flowborn, starting with the Marksman role on June 24th in Honor of Kings Plus. Later on, expect the Tank and Mage roles, which are scheduled to be released sometime in July 2025.

Performance recognition system revamp

HoK Plus now rewards individual effort, even in defeat:

• New Star System – Stars awarded for both victory and standout personal performance.
• Highlight Moments include:
  • Solo highground + crystal destruction → Instant SSS rating
  • Full-score carry → +2 Stars
  • Great performance despite 1v9 → Potential to retain/gain Stars
• Transparent Global Metrics – Clear tier-to-point conversion for global players.

Real-time voice translation

Honor of Kings Plus eliminates language barriers by offering real-time voice-to-text translation in English, Chinese, Indonesian, and Malay. Now, it’s an ideal opportunity to forge friendships across different cultural and linguistic backgrounds while gaming.

Gameplay and battlefield overhauls

Some battlefield changes are also implemented on this Honor of Kings Plus update:

• Mid lane now spawns four minions
• Central River Sprite removed
• Rebalanced River Sprites, Space Sprite, and Red Falcon
• Super minions now less dominant in late game
• Teleport Skill now permanently available with visual updates
• Adjustments to turret shields

Honor Pass redesign

A streamlined Honor Pass in HoK now focuses on rewarding active play:

• Earn XP from:
  • Completing missions
  • Achieving Highlight Moments
  • Finishing campaigns
• First Month Bonus – Free Elite Pass
• KWC-Themed Pass
  • Level 1: Nuwa – Syzygy Moonlight
  • Level 80: Alessio – EWC Skin
• Deluxe Pass – Includes 398 bonus tokens

Limited-time events and freebies

There are a lot to giveaways to check out in the Want It, Get It! Event. Here is a quick rundown:

• From June 19: Complete tasks for special event tokens
• From June 24: Redeem tokens for a 1688-Token Skin Voucher
• From June 28 to 30: Use voucher for any skin released before Jan 1, 2025 (excludes Yun Ying – Crystallight Spear)

On top of all that, the All Skins Free-to-Use Weekend will also kick off for a few days:
