Honor of Kings: Best heroes in Season 9
Check out best heroes for each role in Honor of Kings Season 9!
In the realm of multiplayer online battle arena games like Honor of Kings (HoK), more than 100 characters can be played. Each character possesses its distinctive style of gameplay, boasting strengths and weaknesses that set them apart. At present, some heroes are particularly effective within the current game strategy or ‘meta’.
Glance at the list provided to find out which Honor of Kings heroes are showing outstanding performance during the ongoing season.
Best Clash Lane heroes in Season 9
On Clash Lane, you’ll find two main types of hero categories that are currently in high demand: tank heroes and semi-tank fighters. We advise considering the following five options: Dun, Sun Ce, Allain, Dharma, and Lian Po.
In the game Honor of Kings, Dun and Lian Po are known for their high durability, placing them in the tank-type hero category. These heroes are frequently chosen by players across all skill levels due to their versatility. Not only can they stand front and center during battles, but they can also venture into other areas as Roamers. Their abilities perfectly suit their roles, enabling them to start fights, take damage, safeguard teammates, and offer substantial crowd control (CC).
As a gamer, I find myself in the second category of fighters who have a knack for durability, not because we intentionally build tank gear, but because our inherent resilience is a byproduct of abilities that grant shields, lifesteal, or health regeneration. This means we can hold our own in fights, buying valuable time for our team while dishing out damage.
In the current category, Sun Ce, Allain, and Dharma are standing out as top-tier heroes. Particularly, Dharma has become the go-to choice among professionals, boasting an impressive 41.6% selection rate in recent games. This makes her the most frequently chosen hero during the Invitational Season 3. On the other hand, Dun follows closely behind as the third most popular hero, with a pick rate of 38.0%.
Best Jungle heroes in Season 9
In the game “Honor of Kings,” the role of the jungler involves three primary duties: assisting teammates by participating in ganks, managing map objectives, and clearing neutral monsters efficiently to prevent falling behind the enemy jungler. Consequently, top-performing jungle heroes excel at carrying out these functions effectively.
At the moment, Musashi, Augran, and Lam are the leading candidates for these positions. They are agile fighters specializing in stealth attacks, making it easy for them to surprise and defeat opponents (gank). Moreover, they have area-of-effect skills that help them swiftly conquer jungle camps. Furthermore, their high lifesteal provides them with increased durability during team battles.
In professional play, Musashi and Augran are frequently chosen by players, with Musashi being selected for battle in 40.4% of matches due to his high ban rate, and Augran being picked 36.9% of the time.
For players who lean more towards non-assassin roles, we suggest giving Yuhuan and Menki a try. Yuhuan, with her Mid Laner versatility, is a mage character with high mobility and healing abilities, making her an excellent secondary support option. On the other hand, Menki is a versatile hero who can be built as either a damage dealer or tank, offering impressive survivability and crowd control to shape the game’s tempo. Additionally, both heroes are known for being beginner-friendly when it comes to jungling.
Best Mid Lane heroes in Season 9
In the current game scenario, top-tier Mid Lane champions excel in dealing massive instant damage, like Gan & Mo, Mai Shiranui, and Nuwa. These three are frequently chosen by pros, with Mai Shiranui having a remarkable 80.9% ban rate, making her the most banned hero during Invitational Season 3.
These characters excel at dealing high damage by executing accurate, timed sequences of attacks, often depending greatly on their teammates to strategically initiate battles. When it comes to setting things up, Yixing is one of the top control mages around, boasting substantial damage and crowd control abilities, although this comes at a cost of reduced mobility.
In terms of mobility, both Mai Shiranui and Shangguan excel as top-tier Mid Lane champions. They have dashes that boost their nimbleness during battles, enabling them to move more swiftly across the map to aid their teammates. Notably, Shangguan is armed with an Ultimate ability that provides her invincibility, making her exceptionally agile in one-on-one combat and team fights alike.
Keep in mind that the five heroes mentioned earlier are known for being challenging to master due to their complexity. Therefore, expect a significant amount of practice to fully utilize their potential. Furthermore, familiarizing yourself with the advantages and disadvantages of each Mid Lane hero will aid in making an informed decision when choosing one, taking into account your team structure and preferred playstyle.
Best Bot Lane heroes in Season 9
Picking a hero for the Bot Lane is generally less complex than deciding on one for other roles, as these characters are usually the primary sources of damage – or the “carries.” To excel at this pivotal job, it’s essential that Bot Lane heroes make smart positioning decisions to stay alive longer in team battles.
Choose characters with excellent mobility, like Arli, Lady Sun, and Marco Polo, who all have quick-recharge dash skills. Moreover, take note of Loong, whose ultimate skill turns him invulnerable as he transforms into a dragon flying high in the sky. During the Invitational Season 3, Loong was the most sought-after Bot Lane hero with a pick rate of 39.2%, while Arli was the most frequently banned Bot Lane character with a ban rate of 57.1%.
Consort Yu can be a good choice for players seeking a hero with high burst damage. However, compared to the other four characters mentioned, she has more disadvantages, mainly because she doesn’t possess an escape ability. Yet, her Skill 2 offers an immunity to damage as a counterbalance. Additionally, Consort Yu is often considered one of the simpler heroes to master in the Bot Lane, making her adaptable for various team setups.
Best Roaming heroes in Season 9
In the world of Multiplayer Online Battle Arena games, characters labeled as Roamers or Supports might not initially appear as crucial as other roles, but they are indispensable in shaping team interactions. While almost any character in Honor of Kings can take on the role of a Roamer, the most effective ones boast good mobility, crowd control abilities, and a knack for shielding their teammates.
Characters who meet all these specifications are Dolia and Zhang Fei. Dolia is exceptional as she can mend her teammates using her Skill 2, possesses the rare capacity to re-set allies’ Ultimate and skill cooldowns. Furthermore, her Skill 1 offers a small area of effect crowd control, pushing back and slowing adversaries. In the Invitational Season 3, she was highly demanded, boasting a 33.3% selection rate and a 39.2% prohibition rate.
As a devoted admirer, I’d say Zhang Fei stands out all on his own. In his regular stance, his Skill 1 pushes back adversaries, while Skill 2 lets me leap and fortify my allies with a protective shield. What truly sets him apart during team battles is his Ultimate – he transforms into an imposing tank, stunning foes before him. Plus, he doesn’t deplete mana when using skills, making him a formidable force in the Roamer role during the laning phase, setting him apart from others in this regard.
In the current gaming meta, there are some formidable Roamers like Dyadia, Da Qiao, and Sakeer that I frequently encounter. Dyadia and Sakeer embody the traditional Support role, offering healing, shielding, and even stealing gold from enemies – making them a top pick for team fights. Their agile dashes let them swiftly navigate between allies, dodging enemy attacks with ease. Dyadia stands out especially, as her gold-stealing ability has earned her the title of the most banned Roamer hero in Invitational Season 3 with an impressive 47.6% ban rate.
In the game Honor of Kings, Da Qiao is distinguished by her exceptional abilities, which include sending allies back to base and then recalling them to their previous locations. What sets her apart even more is her ultimate skill, which gathers all her allies at a specified spot, making her an excellent choice for strategic team plays.
The following characters are highly recommended for Honor of Kings Season 9. Each hero possesses distinct abilities, so it’s crucial to pick the ones that you are most familiar and comfortable with.
