HoYoverse has announced the banners for Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.1. They include a new character alongside returning favorites Ashveil, Hyacine, and Boothill.

Okay, so I’m going to be checking out each character – figuring out what they’re good at and how they’ll do in the future when the game changes. Then I’ll let you know which one you should try to get. Just a heads-up, the banners for version 4.1 will be live starting March 25th, 2026, and they’ll be around until April 21st, 2026.

Who should you pull for in Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.1 Banners

The Version 4.1 banners will launch on March 25th, 2026, and run until April 8th, 2026, featuring Ashveil and Hyacine. A second banner, featuring Boothill, will then be available from April 8th to April 21st, 2026. Each of these characters has different abilities, and some are more valuable than others. Read on for a detailed look to help you choose.

1. Ashveil

Ashveil is a new 5-Star character in Honkai: Star Rail who specializes in Lightning-based attacks. He lowers enemy defenses, creates Skill Points, and deals extra damage with follow-up attacks. His skill, ‘Bait,’ deals Lightning damage and reduces the Defense of all enemies. If an enemy is already affected by Bait, he also refunds a Skill Point, making his abilities more efficient.

Okay, so his Ultimate is a game-changer! It not only tags enemies for extra damage, but also gives him more chances to attack and sets up some seriously powerful follow-up moves. Plus, when he’s in the battle, my whole team gets a boost to their follow-up attack damage and critical hit damage – awesome! If you’re thinking of getting Ashveil, definitely check out our pre-farm guide first, it’ll help you get ready.

2. Hyacine

Hyacine is a 5-star character in Honkai: Star Rail who uses Wind energy. She’s a quick healer, known as a Remembrance sustainer, and she heals in a special way using her companion, Little Ica. Little Ica restores allies’ health by using its own HP, and the more it heals, the more damage it can deal. This means Hyacine can both heal her team and contribute to damage output simultaneously.

I’m really excited about Ica’s “After Rain” ability! It’s a game-changer because it increases the whole team’s HP, and even better, it lets Ica actually attack! This means she can really pile on the damage with her healing powers, and the effects stack, which is awesome!

3. Boothill

Boothill is a powerful, physically-focused character who excels at taking down single targets quickly. He follows the Path of the Hunt and stands out due to his ability to bypass enemy defenses and act multiple times in a row. This makes him a fast-paced and unpredictable fighter, capable of unleashing a rapid series of attacks thanks to his speed boosts and ability to take extra turns.

He’s able to ignore an enemy’s resistance to his attacks and instantly get rid of any effects that limit his actions.

Final Thoughts

These three characters each fill different roles in a team. Boothill focuses on dealing damage (DPS), while Hyacine can both support the team and deal damage, and Ashveil is a secondary damage dealer who can also function as a main DPS. I think Hyacine or Ashveil would be the best characters to get for most players. With a new Physical DPS character coming in update 4.2, I wouldn’t recommend focusing on Boothill right now.

Ashveil is a strong pick for teams that focus on dealing damage through follow-up attacks, and he can even serve as your primary damage dealer. Hyacine is also helpful, offering both extra damage and healing support to the team.
