Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.0 Developer Radio talks about upcoming Relic Subsidiary Customization and Reroll Functions

Story Highlights

  • Version 3.0 introduces re-roll system for relics and sub-stats!

As a seasoned veteran of the Honkai: Star Rail universe, I can confidently say that the latest Developer Radio has left me thrilled beyond words! The re-roll system for relics and sub-stats is an absolute game-changer, allowing us to customize our characters more effectively than ever before.

The free-to-play turn-based game Honkai: Star Rail, developed by Chinese game developer HoYoverse, has recently aired another episode of their Developers Radio. These episodes focus on discussing upcoming version updates and the improvements being made in the game. Here’s a summary of the topics discussed in the Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.0 Developer Radio.

Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.0 Developer Radio: Highlights

1. Customizing Relic Stats

As a gamer, I’ve got some exciting news! Now, I can tweak not just the primary attributes of specific Relics, but also their hidden sub-attributes using a nifty new item known as Wishful Resin. Here’s how it goes:

  • Main Stats Adjustment: Use Self-Modeling Resin to change the main stats of the body, feet, Sphere, and Link Rope Relics.
  • Subsidiary Stats Adjustment: Use Wishful Resin along with Self-Modeling Resin to customize the extra stats (like Crit Rate, HP%, etc.).
  • Wishful Resin can only be used with Self-Modeling Resin, not by itself.

How to Get Wishful Resin

You can get Wishful Resin in these ways:

  • Nameless Honor Pass: Earn it for free by completing missions or get extra by purchasing Nameless Glory.
  • Synthesis: Combine 800 Relic Remains (extra Relic materials) to make 1 Wishful Resin. You can create up to 2 per version.
  • Exchange: Swap 1 Self-Modeling Resin for 1 Wishful Resin (Limit: 3 per month).

2. Rerolling Relic Stats

If your highest-level Relic (Level 15) didn’t upgrade as desired, you can employ Variable Dice to re-roll its stat enhancements. Re-rolling maintains the same stats but alters the distribution of boosts each stat receives. If you prefer the newly generated results, you may choose to keep them.

If you don’t prefer it, feel free to use the initial data. The term “Variable Dice” indicates that they can be rolled again, but keep in mind that these dice are not returnable. Using Variable Dice won’t alter the stats on the Relic itself, only the degree of boost each stat receives.

How to Get Variable Dice

You can get Variable Dice in these ways:

  • Synthesis: Use 3 Self-Modeling Resins to make 1 Variable Die (no limit on how many you can make).
  • Nameless Honor Pass: Earn 1 by completing missions if you buy Nameless Glory.

3. Salvaging Enhanced Relics

If you find yourself with Relics of lower rarity that you no longer require, you now have the option to dismantle them for valuable resources. Relics ranging from 2 to 4 stars can be transformed into Lost Gold Fragments and Credits. Five-star Relics, on the other hand, can yield Lost Gold Fragments, Credits, or Relic Remains. For instance, a fully upgraded five-star Relic (Level 15) can be dismantled to receive 400 Relic Remains.

Final Thoughts

This upcoming Version 3.0 brings about a significant enhancement in the Quality of Life (QoL) for players. The process of Farming Relics has been streamlined, allowing you to customize stats to suit your characters more effectively. Moreover, rerolling enables you to rectify any unfavorable upgrades. Any obsolete or unwanted Relics can be dismantled for resources, facilitating future farming endeavors. In essence, this update significantly improves the relic system.
